I am just so so sad, frustrated and anxious about what will happen with my wedding day. Like what if this gets even worse in the next 3 weeks, and the venue cancels my wedding. We’ve planned this for 13 months and I’m just so discouraged.
What are other brides doing?

My date *was* April 4. We are postponing as the groom is currently working in Seattle. It's not worth the risk to our family and friends. If your guests are comfortable going, and you are comfortable, then go for it. Most venues and vendors are working with people to reschedule.

I'm in the same boat! We've planned for 13 months, our wedding is March 29th and no guests have canceled. Unfortunately, our venue rescheduled us for June 14th!! We are in Florida. June is HOT and it's virtually summer - I was dedicated to a Spring wedding. We are heartbroken. But because we are dedicated to March 29th as the day we get married we've decided to have a civil ceremony with local family and friends. His parents were going to host the rehearsal dinner so we made arrangements to have the ceremony and small reception at his parents home on the 29th. I will not be wearing my dress or even white because I still want to full princess bridal experience -- even if it's in June.

Our wedding was supposed to be this weekend on the 21st. Our venue has just closed. So we rescheduled for late September. It was the only date they had that worked for me. I'm very sad but also know that no one should be risking their health right now.

I've contacted all vendors as ours is for 3/30. Everyone is still good to go and we are destination. Our guest count has dwindled significantly but that's alright bc at the end of the day we have put so much into this and I'm ready to marry my best friend. It also will help with this virus BS that is going around. Hope everything works out for everyone else!!!

Honestly, the only part that made everything so hard was the uncertainty of everything. We're doing something similar and still getting married on 03/20/2020. I'm glad that you got all your vendors to move to July for you! It's definitely easier to look for just one instead of all of them. I hope ya'll enjoy your happy day as much as possible! Best wishes on your futures together!!

Be sure if you change dates to make sure that you can get a marriage license. Or even if you don't - often they are only good for 30 days. And many courts are closing for non-essential/emergencies (re, weddings).

Our town is in quarantine and not allowing any gatherings so venues are closed. If you feel like it’s safer for you to reschedule talk to your venue and vendors. Stay safe.

Yesterday we decided to reschedule our April 3 wedding to August 14. All of vendors were super accommodating and we aren’t losing any money by rescheduling. These are some scary times and I’m hoping it’s all cleared up by the new date.

Hello. I am kinda in the same boat as you. My wedding was planned for April 10 and my venue said that we had to cancel it because it was over 100 people. That’s good that your venue is still allowing you to have it. I hope everything works out for you! Everything happens for a reason , I know you are ready to get married and been planning this for a while but everything will work out how it’s suppose to !! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

My wedding is the same date. We’ve cancelled our honeymoon since it was a cruise and went ahead and postponed 😔 it’s so disheartening, but we both had close family flying in. The venue is allowing us to hold the spot until March of 2021. So we’re hoping this all just blows over soon 😪😪😳

My venue canceled my April wedding, but they were able to rebook us in October
Since the date we picked is very special to us, we'll be doing a very small civil ceremony with just our parents, siblings, and grandparents
And then having our grandscale ceremony and reception at a later date
Its really stressful and frustrating, but thankful for amazing vendors who are able to accommodate us in this situation

My wedding was scheduled for March 28th, but with out-of-town family and lots of elderly in both of our families, we decided to postpone the ceremony/reception to later in the year and just go ahead and get married now at home with just our parents and siblings (my dad is ordained). I totally understand your disappointment. It was a really hard decision to not have our big special day, but we both decided in the end, we’re still marrying each other, and that’s all that really matters. Good luck!

    Hi Virginia!

I just got into a huge fight with my fiance about the exact same thing! He was really chill about just postponing it to next year since my venue doesn't have any more saturdays available this year. This really got to me, because I've been planning for the last 16 months and he's just been relaxing the whole time. I didn't stress and put this much effort into everything just to have it be pushed back ANOTHER year!

Moral of the story is, I FEEL YOU! Best of luck!

Our wedding was scheduled for April 4th but we are now rescheduled for September 5th. As much as I am looking forward to getting married I did not want my guests to be afraid to socialize and not enjoy themselves and our venue made the call of Monday morning that we had to postpone. I certainly pray that it’s all over by then. All of our vendors were super accommodating and I was able to keep everything the same except for the hotel we are using for our of town guests. Everyone stay safe out there, your health is most important!

I feel you. Our wedding is in June this year, but we're having to face the same uncertainty. Right now, my state has gathering restrictions of no more than 10. Does your state?

For now, I have contacted our venue and we're looking into other options of dates and even the how are we going to get married details. It IS frustrating and hard to change your wedding vision so quickly. You're not the only bride, so hopefully the venue will be understanding and maybe give you some ideas. Wish I had an answer, but I'm finding that the best thing is to talk it out with your partner and make the decision that gives you both the most peace. I hope you ENJOY your special day with the one you love! There's that old wives tale - Rain on your wedding day is good luck. Well, if you can make it together as a team through this present "rain" and uncertainty, you'll be even more solid! All the best!

How are you doing? You said your date is this Saturday. Are you still having the big wedding? Or just a small one for now? I'm praying this all isn't stressing out all the Brides and Grooms too much...I hope you are doing okay with all this.

My wedding was supposed to be on March 28th. My venue called this morning and all weddings are canceled. The only open day they have is October 17th. I'm so devastated so close and yet so far away. I hope things are different for you.
