My wedding is March 29th and it’s local. My guests are at 135 and so far no one has canceled, and no one is coming by air. We also have honeymoon planned the day after in Cancun Mexico at a resort. I am just so so sad, frustrated and anxious about what will happen with my wedding day. Like what if this gets even worse in the next 3 weeks, and the venue cancels my wedding. We’ve planned this for 13 months and I’m just so discouraged.
What are other brides doing?

Ours is the 21st and we are in the greater Seattle area. Today we made the choice to postpone. All vendors have been kind and understanding.

Our wedding date is May 16, 2020! And after 15 years of being together, we believe we now have 20/20 vision that God has given us the permission to join in HOLY MATRIMONY - FINALLY. And although I believe this in my heart, I am at peace with whatever happens because everything is "WITH GOD's PERMISSION" (no matter what your faith is) and we actually have no control over ANYTHING, so don't worry!!! Worse case senario is you will have to set a new date when everyone will feel comfortable and safe. And I would expect that (in good faith) every vendor that you've hired would honor your agreement on a different date. But guess what? What if your date has to change, this is how you can look at this: At least all of your PLANNING IS OVER!!! and now you will have more time for youself, more time to actually get the REST you so need to look your best on your SPECIAL DAY! Or maybe this delay will give you time to start that exercise routine you so promised yourself. This could also give you more time to try those different hair styles you didn't have time to try before. Whatever it is you have been unable to do up to this point, you will be able to do in a less-stressful manner! I'm committed to making the best out of this situation that WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER. And I know that our families and friends will be there (whenever our wedding happens) because everything is "WITH GOD's PERMISSION"! I BELIEVE THAT YOUR WEDDING IS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU SCHEDULED IT TO HAPPEN! Cheryl & Jay in May 20/20

I feel the same way. My wedding is 4/17 and have about 186 guest. I know a lot of my guest are willing to come but, I don't want to deal with putting others at risk.

Our wedding is 4/25 and we are just going to continue to move forward unless something changes or the vendors cancel. I considered postponing but even with that you just never know what may happen. We've put off booking our honeymoon for the time being though. All we can do is wait and see...

All spring brides are currently going through this. My wedding is scheduled for 4/26 and while most of our guests are local there a a few who would require flights from others states throughout the country. So far our venue has not mentioned anything regarding cancelling so our fingers and toes are definitely crossed.

I am nurse who is frontline to all the possibilities so if we do have to cancel or reschedule it would be a hard pill to swallow but I totally understand. I wouldn't want to put my family and friends at risk so it would be best. Anxiously watching to see what happens over the next few weeks.

I haven't brought myself to even have this discussion with my fiancé just yet but I foresee it happening sooner rather than later. Its disheartening to know you put in so much time and effort but again hoping for the best.

I am not even sure if wedding insurance would cover any of this stuff, I guess its definitely something to look into. I would recommend just keeping in constant communication with your venue and vendors, hopefully everyone can come to a mutual agreement should anything change. Praying for all of us spring brides.

My wedding is next Sunday (3/22). We just found out about Gavin Newsom’s call to cancel/postpone large events; small ones should provide social distancing of 6 feet per person! Many events and parks are being postponed and closed starting this week. Nearly 20 of our guests (including members of our wedding party) already canceled due to travel restrictions/concerns, and more texted me today to express concerns about the event and how their attendance would put their elderly family members at risk. All signs are pointing to this getting worse before it gets better—more testing will show more people infected and will feed the panic.

The only sensible choice is to postpone our wedding. We don’t have a new date yet and know we will pay a lot in fees. It’s so upsetting having to make this decision, but there’s no denying that this is a terrible time to do our wedding. It’s been a very sad and heartbreaking day for me as a bride. I just hope we can work out reasonable charges and logistics with our vendors.

I’m very sorry we’re going through this!! It’s so awful. I haven’t been able to feel excited about my wedding too. Wedding planning is supposed to be stressful, but feeling dreadful everyday takes away all the joy.

Our reception is March 21 in New Jersey with 125 guests. The venue called yesterday and said we have until this weekend to decide if we will have it or want to postpone. Most of my family is telling me to have it but with so many school districts closing next week as a precaution I know there will be people who cancel. I have no idea what to do

I’m in full blown panic mode. We’re supposed to be married in 49 days in Playa del Carmen. My fiancé’s employer (large organization within the federal govt) decided yesterday afternoon to ban all international travel. If he and the members of our bridal party that also work for that organization choose to travel internationally for person travel, they’ll all be quarantined without pay for 14 days after coming back. My fiancé and I both just moved to a new state and both just started new jobs so we were each already taking 2 weeks off unpaid for our wedding. We can’t afford 4 full weeks without his paycheck and we can’t ask our bridal party to undergo that either. We have to cancel our wedding and I am beyond upset right now.

My wedding is April 17 in NJ with roughly 150 guests. I have talked to my venue and florist the last 24 hours and they are very understanding and want to take things day by day. Venue says we have up to 7 days prior to reschedule and florist says 14 days. We do have many guests over 60 and I have about 12 family members coming from CA. As of now we are not planning to postpone but I did get open dates from my venue in case I am forced to reschedule. It’s really nerve wracking.

I know the feeling. Our date is the 28th of March. I am freaking out. People that were flying (not many) won't come--I told them it isn't worth it. I wouldn't fly myself.

The other day, our governor in CA, said no large gatherings of over 200 or 250. Whew! We plan for less than 150. But, what if that number comes down to mean smaller gatherings? They want people to socially distance--how do you do that at a wedding?! UGH!

    I'm calling the venue today.

Just think next year, hopefully we will be laughing at this and commenting!

God bless you all and may things work out--we will get through it!

I hate that all of us can relate... I keep seeing that it will get bad in just weeks. Well my wedding is in 5 weeks and all of these “what if’s” are driving me crazy. Im sorry for all of us, this is unreal.

My wedding is April 25th and I have been so nervous with so much anxiety all week about it! I only have two people traveling from out of state but seeing as they closed schools down for 3 weeks I am praying that everything will be better by then. Good Luck to all the brides that are before then and I wish you the best!
