I am just so so sad, frustrated and anxious about what will happen with my wedding day. Like what if this gets even worse in the next 3 weeks, and the venue cancels my wedding. We’ve planned this for 13 months and I’m just so discouraged.
What are other brides doing?

My fiancé and I are getting married in CA but are living in WA, two of the big hotspots. Wedding is on May 9 and we decided if we cancel it, we are going to a courthouse and then hopping on a flight to our honeymoon. It’s not the wedding of my dreams but at the end of the day what matters is getting married.

Our court houses closed down and we dont have our license yet for our april 4th wedding. And on top of that mow his dad and mother cant come either. My family already couldn't come due to other reasons . Our venue lady offered a refund and for us to still use the venue for our family only, Meaning our kids. But he still wants to continue on and not get the refund. I'm not happy about this at all but what can we do ? I've stressed myself sick. This whole wedding has been one nightmare after another. I just keep telling myself , it's ok atleast at the end of the day I'll be married to my best friend. But I've cried alot puked, panicked attacks. You name it!

We are getting married 6/6 in PR! We did not get wedding insurance either but most insurance does not cover pandemic.

Sorry happy this forum is here. I just had a big ugly cry in the car. My wedding day is 3/28 and have planned for this for 14 months! My motivation to finish my small decor items has completely gone away, but I’m going to try and finish. We already had to postpone our honeymoon because the cruiseline suspended all operations. I’m going to try and not think about it too much but right now I’m trying to think of ways to help my guests feel safe for the ones that will show up.

We just got word the reception venue for our wedding next week, March 21st is "opening dialogue" regarding the cancelation of our reception. This is a domino effect. 150+ confirmed guest list. The caterer, photographers, videographers, the flowers! I am reeling. I feel like I am dealing with a death. I have been planning this wedding for nearly a year. Devastated doesn't begin to describe.

Hang in there and take a deep breath! We’re all in this together ladies. My wedding is April 17th and I was so excited to get down to the 40 day count and then a few days later the uncertainty of it happening or not is killing me. Most of our guest are local except my fiancé’s parents. We’re hoping that as long as they make it we can go on as scheduled. I honestly don't have the heart or energy to reschedule or replan everything. Sending prayers and good thoughts that everyone can have their dream day, with all their friends and family, happiness and health xoxo

It does feel like a death. Fh and I have been grieving since we postponed, but it was good to have the cushion to move it and vendors who were understanding. Deep breaths girl! It sucks but we'll get through this.

Girl my wedding is 3/29 as well and my wedding coordinator at the venue recommended I cut my guest list from 200 to under 100. I really don’t know what to do at this point. It’s either that or postpone which we do not want to do

My wedding is 3/29 in Wake Forest, NC and we’ve decided to cut down to 100 from 200 after talking to our venue yesterday. It’s sucks and I’m so sad but I’m trying really hard to keep it together. We had to postpone our Santorini honeymoon as well

    Hi Kelly,

My wedding date is also 3/28. Only one vendor of mine (Photo Booth) is willing to issue a full refund. However, the rest are willing to accommodate a postponement depending on availability and honor our payments.

This is what I emailed out to all of our vendors today:

"I am extremely heartbroken to have to compose this email, however at the rate this new Coronavirus is escalating, I am trying to stay informed and be proactive. The last thing I want to do is postpone my wedding set for 3.28.20, but with some cities and counties across the nation implementing moratoriums on large gatherings and events, I’m not too sure what my options will be in two weeks.

If this does affect _____ County and prohibits us from holding an event at our venue, do I have any options of postponing to a later date without losing out on our payments made?"
Best of luck with everything! -Michele

It is devastating reading all of these posts. I, like some of you, are planning to get married next Friday, 3/20 and I am completely beside myself on the current events. Definitely not how I was hoping to feel the week before I get married, but my FH and I have been planning this for 14 months and plan to move ahead with the wedding and are prepared for cancellations of high risk guests. We're located in MA w most of our 85 guests being somewhat local. This thread makes me so sad that there are others feeling the way I do, today was the first time I really cried, but stay calm and know theres nothing we can do about these events other than remind ourselves that all the planning was for us and our fiance's. So we got this! Our wedding's will be beautiful bc we will be marrying our favorite people. Good luck to all.

Hi ladies! Thank you so much for this. Our wedding is on June 27th but I'm freaking out too. I just feel like it's one thing after another. We're supposed to get our marriage license this month then the courthouse canceled our appointment. I mean, our wedding is still a few months away and I'm feeling so anxious.

It’s so comforting to know I’m not alone. My wedding is in two weeks on March 28 and I have been an absolute wreck. This has completely sucked out all of the excitement and happiness from my wedding. It feels like everything is just crashing down around me and all the hard work to plan this one special day is going to be for nothing. I just keep reminding myself that I can’t control things and the situation is changing every single day. A lot can happen in a few weeks. For now my coordinator and I are just trucking along and moving ahead business as usual. If the venue (which is owned by the city) cancels, we will reassess. Luckily the wedding is on the smaller side with only 65 or so guests but similar to what others have said I don’t want to put any of my guests in danger, like my fiancé’s 95 year old grandma or even our parents who are all over 60. My dad may not be able to come bc he lives in WA and the wedding is in CA. I’m just not excited anymore. But the prospect of postponing is tough because how do we even know when to move it to?! Ughhh. Sending everyone lots of love and positive energy!

My wedding was March 28th, venue recommended we reschedule or we could possibly loose out on a lot of money due to they have to order food and have finally numbers on Monday. I'm RSVP 165 what if it gets even worse and only 50 people come. We decided to be safe and not risk any transmission or what ever and reschedule it was horrible day so many calls know trying to find a new day all my vendors can make work. I really sucks I'm upset but we are still going be married on the 28th by my uncle then do a cermony dedication and reception when we figure a new date, I have to be married in that say everything I have has est. 3 28 2020!!!!

My wedding is 5/30 and I’m so nervous about it. I really don’t want to cancel, so whoever can come can come but I’m nervous about my vendors cancelling. And we were leaving for Italy 6/1 for our honeymoon, so I’m sure we will have to postpone that. Just sucks bc this is supposed to be the happiest time in our lives and now it’s just a stressful situation of what if’s.
