Covid-19 Bridal Shower/bachelorette Party

Jessica, on March 16, 2020 at 8:30 PM Posted in Parties and Events 2 10
Hello! First, my heart breaks for all the brides who’s weddings are approaching in the next few weeks! The shower and bachelorette party seem minute in comparison and a little silly to worry about. Still they are big events that I know are being impact for many of us. I am curious if any brides are postponing or canceling these events. My shower was supposed to be end of April, but everyone thinks we should push it until July/Aug. Bachelorette party is scheduled out of state for June.

I see on here a lot of brides are postponing those events as well especially if they’re inciting a big enough crowd

My bachelorette has been cancelled and I'm waiting to hear if the bridal shower is too. If I could have them I would. Its devastating to miss out on this experiences. If you have time to push it I would. Good luck!

Ugh! I’m sorry Lauren. When is your wedding? We are getting married in September, so we have some flexibility moving things. Just need to make the decision now. The venue for the shower is letting us move to July for no additional charge. My bachelorette party is in June and I think we’re just going to play it by ear. It’s just hard with all the unknown!

The unknown is the worst! I'm so glad they are working with you to move the shower so easily. My wedding is supposed to be May 30th and I'm not sure how that is going to work out at this point. Hoping for the best

I’ve see that too in a few of the wedding related posts. It’s all so crazy, but just hoping everyone stays safe and healthy!

We made the decision today to cancel my bachelorette which was supposed to be 3/28. My shower is 4/18 so we are waiting a bit to make a decision. Honestly at this post I’m just hoping my wedding in June moves forward as planned. I can’t believe this is real life. I am devastated for all the brides having to cancel and reschedule right now.

I’m so sorry! I’m keeping my fingers crossed and sending positive vibes that your wedding moves forward as planned. I also hope you can have your shower! If you have to cancel have you thought about reschedule for after the wedding. We talked about that as an option, to at least have those moments even if it’s slightly unconventional!

We have! The bachelorette will like be post wedding. For the shower, looking more and more like we’ll need to figure something out. I would never want to put people in danger or not so what I can to stop the spread. This just sucks.
