covid 19 Concern

Alyssa, on March 23, 2020 at 11:21 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
Hi everyone!

I am getting married on August 29th, 2020. I am concerned that our world will still be in chaos. I have been praying that things will work out. We already sent out Save the Dates. I’ve had 2 signs made for our new home that will have our date on them as well as our bubbles for the wedding exit favor.
Are there any other brides that are having this concern? If I was to postpone it but get married at the courthouse or a small ceremony on the same day and have a reception and big ceremony later, would I have to change my signs? I am hoping I will not have to worry about this.
Thanks for the input!

We are August 7th - we are hopeful and trying to be optimistic but we are holding a second date with all our vendors to be proactive.

If you still get married at the courthouse on yoru initial date I would keep all the signs that have your actual wedding day. Otherwise, for me I would want all keepsakes to have our actual wedding date on it. His grandpa is a pastor and will be marrying us, we are just going to postpone everything to a later date if need be and do it exactly as planned at that time - if that is the case we will be reordering everything with our date on it which SUCKS but is what it is.

Praying August is safe. If anything, we are more worried that we will need to cancel prewedding events in June / July. We are optimistic about August. Definitely contact your vendors for policies and how they can help if necessary.

    Good luck Smiley smile

Thank you, I appreciate the support!

I will probably still keep the signs, but may just wait to order our invites with the dates until necessary. We are concerned about the pre-wedding festivities as well. If anything, we may just have them after the wedding! 😅
On the bright note, the only thing we’ve ordered with our dates for the actual wedding was the bubble stickers which weren’t that expensive. Are you holding off on postponing until when? & like ordering essential items.

We have our postpone date picked - but we wont make that decision until the very end of June or July 1st. We don't want to postpone too early and then August actually be fine. However we do feel better knowing we have a plan set!

We are gonna keep ordering things as we have we have pretty much all essential items ordered.

Hi Alyssa! You have a bit of time before you have to make the decision, but you're definitely not the only one worried about it! If you do reschedule, you could get new signs & dated favors, or you could embrace what a crazy situation you were in and still use them, maybe with a little update like a tag with your new date tied to the bubbles.
