Covid-19 Wedding Postponement Checklist

Mary, on March 20, 2020 at 11:08 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

Hey brides,

Sending hugs to everyone in the same boat of postponing their wedding. Does everyone have or can suggest a checklist of what to do with postponing a wedding? Just want to make sure I contact all the right people and did everything necessary.

Thanks!

Sending a hug to you as well!

We haven’t had to cancel or postpone just yet, but the first thing you would want to do is check with the venue first to see what days they have available or if you have a date in mind if that is open. Once they confirm, start working down the line of other vendors that are most important to you both - photographer, DJ, catering, hair, makeup, etc.
    Best of luck!

I made a list of all my vendors. So venue, photographer, officiant, Men's Wearhouse, and the hotel we are staying at and have a room block for. We are going to wait until the first week of April to decide one way or another (wedding is May 9th). Once we reschedule everything with the vendors we are going to notify all of our guests. I went on canva.com and created a "change the date" card. We are going to text/email them instead of spending more money on postage.

Hope this helps and so sorry you had to reschedule! Smiley heart

    Hello!
    Here’s what i’ve been doing!
    1. Call venue2. reach out to most important vendors to find out their availability 3. pick a date from the availability of vip vendors (my venue won’t be ready to talk to me about new dates till next week, so still waiting on this) 4. tell rest of vendors about the postponement5. created graphic to text to guests, i’ll attach what I made.6. text graphic to everyone7. prepare to send out new RSVPS & new “save the date”
