I’m having to find a completely new reception venue 4 months before my wedding date. I’m panicking. Almost all of the venues are booked up. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Hello! I am so sorry you are going through this. What happened? If you don’t mind me asking? & you may have to get creative? How many guests are you expecting? Here are a few options: moving the date to the nearest weekday day to your event, a nice backyard, maybe rent a park? Hope it works out for you.

Hi Morgan! I have been in your shoes last summer so I totally get it! We had to find a new rehearsal dinner location a month before and we called a private club. We were not members and it’s pretty exclusive so we called expecting them to say no. They were thrilled to have us and we had a beautiful rehearsal dinner outdoors there! Don’t cross off a private club, no matter how exclusive. You never know unless you ask 👍
I posted a lot about our ceremony site (sorry to readers as they may have already seen my story). The church cancelled our ceremony 3 weeks before our wedding. The Plan B was to marry at our reception site. Long story, but that fell through literally 10 days before our wedding. We ended up moving it to the rooftop of the hotel (Marriott) at the last minute and re-created it to look like a tropical garden. LOVED IT.

A lot of brides moved their receptions to their or a parents backyard with much success! Think Father of the Bride, Wedding Crashers - beautiful backyard weddings can be really chic! I even saw a girl online who transformed a basketball court into a gorgeous venue!! Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️

Try venues that arent necessarily “wedding venues” like certain country clubs. Our some restaurants have really nice event spaces but don’t usually do weddings. I found a venue two months before my date by doing this

I reckon a lot of ppl are cancelling and rescheduling - I would contact venues around and asked to take anyone’s spot that’s cancelled or rescheduled for perhaps a discounted rate
