Our wedding was on Saturday and while it was certainly not what we had originally planned, it ended up being perfect! I just wanted to share a few pictures to hopefully offer a bit of inspiration/assurance to anyone who is freaking out about having to require masks (or cut their guest list or have a wedding that's separate from their big reception...) and is worrying about it being really depressing, because it doesn't have to be. You can have a wedding in 2020 that (almost) makes it possible to forget about everything else that's going on.cfb_1417899.jpgcfb_1417903.jpgcfb_1417909.jpgcfb_1417907.jpgcfb_1417895.jpg

I don't know if thanking specific vendors qualifies as commercial content, so I won't list them here, but I would be happy to recommend any of mine if someone is looking for: photography, hair & makeup, flowers, catering (I may add more photos when I have some of the food and flowers because they were both so pretty!), or anything else I missed in Greater Boston/Southern New England. I am so thankful to all of them for making this possible, as well as to my parents for their support (and their home, which became our venue) and for the weather, which was much better than we expected.

P.S. One thing I would seriously recommend, probably even if COVID wasn't a factor, is to not let people use their phones/devices. We don't have any unfortunate pictures (taken from weird angles or interrupted by other people taking pictures) because our photographer was the only one taking them, and everyone was really present and more able to enjoy the day because they were forced to interact with only the people who were actually there and experience things as they happened, and not through a smartphone lens.

Congratulations! You can always thank vendors. I believe it only counts as commercial content if you are posting about your own business or are being paid to post about a vendor.

I think it's too late to actually update the post, so I'll list our vendors here. They were all great!

    Vendors

Photography: Rebecca Wade Creative (Boston, MA)

Hair & Makeup: Deb and Alexisia at Salon Monique (Canton, MA)

Flowers: Kelly from Stems in Style (Braintree, MA) She helped us figure out how to do a toned down version of our original plan so everything was beautiful, but still doesn't take away from anything we'll have at the postponed reception.

Catering (dinner): Jay from The French Press (Needham, MA) We don't have food pictures yet, but he really worked with us to figure out a way to do this safely during COVID and everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

Ice Cream Truck (dessert): Sweet 16 Ice Cream (Sharon, MA)

    Clothing

    Groom's tux/bowtie: The Black Tux

Bride: dress (Willowby by Watters) and halo (Twigs and Honey) from BHLDN, shoes (Gigi flats) from Badgley Mishka

I made our masks and the masks for all of our guests.
