I’m getting married July 1st. Our guest list is relatively small 30-40 (depending on who rsvps) but we still have a back up plan to postpone if his parents can’t make it (they live in california so its quite a flight to florida) That being said we’re only going to postpone if we absolutely have to about 2 months from the date the plan then is to update our wedding website and tell people personally by calling everyone.

We already downsized to less than 10 people and our wedding will take place outside.

We are aiming for a may 29th wedding. We plan on making any adjustments if needed after the inauguration to see if we need to postpone. We planned on having 50 t0 60. However, at this time we have not notified our guests on this new date since our postponed 9/5/20 wedding. It's best for us to feel strong about our next and final date so our guest is not confused. That back and forth stresses me lol

With the past year being absolutely insane, if we can’t have our dream wedding in September, We will have a super intimate ceremony with just immediate family.
I’m just ready to marry my man! Lol

We postponed our June 2020 wedding to June 26, 2021. We cut our guest list to 70. It is out hope by the end of June any elderly or high risk guests will be vaccinated, also a lot of our guests work in education and in our state those vaccines are coming out in February/March. We are going ahead with our new date no matter what, so fingers crossed...

My wedding is supposed to be on the same date. So far we are still going forward, but having a small ceremony of at most 60, then we are planning on doing an open-house style reception outside to avoid large numbers and close indoor contact. However, I am getting more concerned about the ceremony numbers now. I am sorry about the back and forth with your dates - I hope everything will work out well for you both!

We’re eloping in July! With COVID and family drama, it’s easier to just do something where it’s just us. We’re getting a photographer and possibly a videographer. We’ll be doing cupcakes (or a small cake) back at our condo rental. Just need a few ideas for an intimate dinner on the beach.

Hey Rachel we planned for outdoor reception and ceremony as well. My venue is very concerned about numbers so we agreed to wait until after the inauguration. As far as the back and forth goes, as long as my guests has no clue of our wedding date for this year until things are somewhat safe, i should be in the clear ..lol. I wish you all the best for your wedding! I hope we both get to have our wedding this year and in May🤗🤞🤞

Those of you who are saying you're waiting until after the inauguration to make decisions... do you think that a new administration will have some bearing on how many people you can have at gatherings? I was under the impression that was something determined by states. We're currently scheduled to get married in May in NJ, and the venue keeps saying they're waiting to hear more from the governor before allowing us to postpone. This waiting game is killing me!

We are also moving along with our May 21 wedding date and keeping the faith that things will get better post inauguration. Right now our venue is at 50-60 person capacity and we have a guest list of 135. If we have to cut that is what we will do (we have a Covid A and Covid B list ready to go). Our website is up to date with NY state Covid restrictions snd notes how many people we are allowed to have at our venue, so everyone is aware of what’s going on. Keeping our fingers crossed 🤞🏾 and lifted in prayer like everyone else.

I think that people are expecting the new administration to play a bigger role in restrictions compared to currently. That they’ll use federal powers to impose restrictions for the whole country instead of letting each state/county decide what’s best for them.

I am planning to just go ahead with no modifications.
Places where we are located are pretty laid back and we are watching numbers but plan to go as planned.

We had a big July 2020 wedding planned and ended up eloping with our two witnesses and pastor bc of family drama and covid. we had a delishious dinner at a nice out door restaurant and about 30 ppl waiting for us in the back yard with cake when we got back. You’re day will be so much fun!

I was planning on doing the big party this July, but my 2020 one was so fun I’m debating canning the whole thing 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

May 8th, 2021 here and I'm really on the fence. I reached out to the venue and they said we should be good for our 100 guest(really don't believe this will be the case). Its giving me such anxiety I don't know whether to keep moving forward or to postpone.

I’m really sorry to hear that because I know you 2 got married last year and were planning the bigger celebration for March. This virus is a mess. What new date do you have in mind?

Although we’re not getting married in the next 6 months, I’ve been down this road last year and hopefully it’s not a déjà vu situation for us. Last June we postponed our October 2020 wedding to October 2021 (increasing to a nearly 3 year engagement 😖 😆 ). We’ve always only had around 60 guests invited. But if that number needs to be decreased, we’ll do it. However I definitely don’t want to postpone a 2nd time because that’s just too much. If it comes to that, we’ll get married with just the 2 of us and have a vow renewal celebration in 2022 with our guests. But I wish you the best with your planning and hope everything works out for your June wedding.
