Covid sucks

Jaclyn , on October 8, 2020 at 12:36 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
Help! Covid caused our first venue to cancel on us and now our second venue doesn’t have grass just dirt. I’m super stressed and want to cry. We have a month and I don’t think the grass will fully be in by then. And we really can’t afford sod. Tips help anything

Where you walk you can have an aisle runner

Could you rent out flooring from somewhere if possible? Are you concerned about the dirt for just your dress or for everything/everyone?

No part of the venue has pavement? If you are worried about your dress, I would just get an aisle runner to walk down. Yasmine's suggestion of renting flooring is also a great option!

I don’t want everyone sitting in dirt and in general it just doesn’t look good

Is there a reason you chose that venue then? Did you not know it had dirt?

Ugh. That sucks. It sounds like renting a floor will be your best option. I have also seen weddings that did multiple area rugs on the ground. I’ve seen it on Pinterest a lot. Maybe that could be an option?

I recommend going to the courthouse/city hall or have it in your backyard or a loved one's backyard. Your date is too soon to worry about a venue. You could always have a reception for your one year anniversary.

If you risk losing too much money then just get married at the venue. Maybe try to take some pics in a local park that has grass.

Is there any indoor option since you aren't happy with the outdoor option? Did they have grass when you viewed the venue? If not, I don't know why you'd book a venue without grass if that was a concern.
