Covid uninvite guests

Laura78, on August 8, 2021 at 9:56 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
The new covid variant is causing me anxiety. I rescheduled my wedding from last year. Our original plan was to only invite 50 people. Now we are up to 85. I feel like I guilted myself into inviting a few guests I was on the fence about and those I guests are asking about bringing their kids. My kids will be there but I didn’t put and family on the invites. I have a toddler and I’m worried about him being around a bunch of people. My fiancé has several people in his family who refuse to get vaccinations. I did send a note out about wearing a mask if they aren’t vaccinated. Anyone having a similar issue or sending out change of plan cards due to the new delta variant of covid?

Our wedding is in December and due to Delta we decided to downsize our 150 person wedding to 47 people (incl. 4 children) - we didn't want to chance anything.

If you're not feeling comfortable with everything, it is totally ok to uninvite some guests because of all this. They will understand, and if they don't, then that's for them to live with.

Hi Laura! I definitely understand your concerns. ❤️

Have you thought about requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test from the last 48-72 hours? That combined with asking non-vaxed guests to wear a mask will be increased safety measures and might discourage a few individuals from attending!

My fiancé has two sisters that aren’t vaccinated and he’s not pushing to enforce anything. I asked that all non vaccinated guests wear masks but that doesn’t assure they will. Worried about having to argue with people on my wedding day.
