Now that the vaccine rollout is progressing, are any couples considering vaccine status for their second half of 2021 and later weddings? And have any couples had conversations with their vendors or wedding planners about it?

We are likely moving our wedding celebration for the third time in hopes that we can have a safe wedding where we can hug and dance with our guests, and where masks won't be necessary. Vaccines and herd immunity will very much play a part in whether or not that is even possible. I'm just curious if other couples are considering this, or if your wedding planners, coordinators, caterers, venues, or other event staff have discussed this with you at all.

Some people are being advised not to be vaccinated, and barring them from your event is making them 2nd class citizens. Not sure how people listening to their doctors, in line with CDC and manufacturer guidelines, is "not sharing your values"

"Barring them from your event is making them second-class citizens".
Not being invited to a private party doesn't make you a second-class citizen. If you honestly believe that, you have no respect for the ACTUAL discrimination LGBT people, Jewish people, and BIPOC have faced throughout history. The day people who don't get vaccinated are prohibited from marrying who they love, can't live in the same neighborhoods or use the same water fountains as the rest of society, or have actual hate crimes committed against them, is the day you can accurately call them second-class citizens.

Also, no one here has said they would end a friendship with someone who medically cannot be safely vaccinated. We're talking about the vast majority of people who don't want to take the vaccine simply because it would inconvenience them, not because they have a life-threatening condition that makes it unsafe.
