Hey all! My wedding was canceled one week before our date due to COVID-19. We were so stressed about everything and did not want to re-plan our entire wedding a year from now. So we decided to have a “courthouse style” wedding with our pastor in a small chapel without a reception so we could finally be married (which at the end of the day is truly all that mattered to us, not the big party.) but now, We feel like we would have liked a reception/party with all of our family there. Would it be weird to plan a reception type party at our one year anniversary to celebrate our marriage with our whole family? Or will people kind of be over it by then? Maybe we could renew our vows? Or is that stupid to do at only one year lol? I’m not sure I may just be overthinking all of this!! Haha.

Many people are doing the "wedding now, party later" in the time of Covid, and I actually have had a number of friends do this before the pandemic. It won't be weird at all.
