Covid

I just wanted to give some brides some positive thoughts. I know I am lucky so I don’t want to downplay it, but I got married on July 30th with 160 guests. Our ceremony was outside and our reception was inside. We had the reception windows opened and also (obviously) anyone that wanted to wear a mask and social distance was able to. Out of 160 guests, no one caught covid. I know brides are scared of an outbreak but I did want to give some positive news of a wedding during this crazy time ☺️

This is encouraging! Did you require or encourage guest to be vaccinated and/or tested? No judgement either way, I’m just trying to understand the keys to your success.

No, I did not require testing or guests to be vaccinated. But, I would say anywhere around 70-80 percent of my guests were vaccinated. So maybe that was a key factor Smiley smile I didn't ask if people were vaccinated or not, I would just assume that percentage because of facebook posts, talking to people.. etc.

Who would have thought we'd even have this conversation right?

My wedding day was July 31 and this was our concern too. I can say we have a positive report as well that no one caught covid

Thank God, and blessings on your marriage. I’ve got about 80 people who want to come to our reception and I would say 90% are vaccinated. I didn’t ask, but I knew from speaking with them (know them all very well) and FB posts, etc. I’m not postponing and now boosters will hopefully be coming out in the fall. Getting married October 9. Yes I’m nervous.
