Crafts for a alternative bridal shower

Jessica, on September 19, 2018 at 6:04 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
Does anyone have suggestions for activities for a bridal party without gifts? I like the idea of making things together. The activity needs to be easy for people of all ages.
I don't actually want a bridal shower, and if I could get away with it, I wouldn't be having one. I agreed to a lunch or tea to appease my mom and mother in-law. The whole thing gives me anxiety.

How much of an age gap are we talking? You could do a paint and sip type party, or go to a pottery painting studio, if you have a Board and Brush near you I've heard great things about them. If you have younger children, maybe they would let you just bring canvases to paint while the adults did another project.

I think wine and paint nights are really fun. If everyone is of age thay could be a fun thing.

Oh i love crafting! I'm actually part of a craft club! www.theladiescraftbeersociety.com For my friends bridal shower we made felt flowers. https://mellysews.com/2017/03/how-to-make-felt-flowers.html#_a5y_p=6179697. I bought the felt from etsy, wire, and had everyone bring scissors and a glue gun if they had it. At the end she had a whole bouquet of flowers. For mine we made picture magnets. https://modpodgerocksblog.com/fun-face-glass-magnets/

    Hey there Jessica!!

I love me a good sip and paint, but another craft that's pretty age friendly is a flower crown bar, if that;s yoru style. If you've got a lot of people coming to your shower, it might run a wee bit expensive, but another community member planned on doing one earlier this year and the comments in the Flower Crown Bar discussion have some good supplies and how-to tips.

I like Cuoghi's idea of a felt flower bouquet. You could also have everyone at your shower bring their favorite board game and you could have a low-key game day. It's not crafting, but it's another idea that brings people together by sharing something they really enjoy and at the end of the day, they take their own games home. Smiley smile
