Crash diet?

Monica, on May 18, 2016 at 8:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

So I know that this is not the best way to lose weight but I'm 11 days out and my dress barely fits. I took it to get it steamed and the lady asked me to try it on and it was difficult to close it, so I am panicking!!!!!

Has anyone done a crash diet of or have any suggestions to lose water weight or bloating?

I am going to do cardio every day and I'm trying to eat just salads (no dressing) grilled chicken and healthy stuff.

Any advice?

    TONS OF WATER. TONNNNNS.

Sorry to say, though, There are no fast fixes. But hopefully you can feel a bit smaller by reducing water retention.

Just stay away from any and all carbs. Do Atkins phase one and you WILL lose all water weight and bloat and probably 5-8 lbs.

edit : That will come back immediately post wedding

MIL does a program where you all but cleanse the first 10 days. She lost a stupid amount of weight during those days. I tried it, and I was MISERABLE by day two.

I stopped because it was obvious to me that I was just going to gain back everything I lost the second the "cleanse" was over. Back to good old fashioned healthy eating, water, and gym time for me.

Oh, it might help if I put some actual useful info in, right?

    TONS of water.

No soda, No coffee. No tea. Water water water. I read somewhere that you should try to drink have your body weight (in ounces) per day.

Eat smaller portions more frequently, and make sure you eat breakfast. I've been doing an egg and spinach casserole that's easy and nutritious.

Do you have any shape wear? If not, get some and try it on again. I also second the fact that you should drink water and avoid carbs and sodium! Eta: spelling

Water, Protein, Veggies, some fruit but not too much and even walking at a fast pace 30 min a day will help.

I am doing cardio everyday and eating healthier than I was. Not expecting any miracles but at least I am not as bloated as I feel the day of the wedding.

17day diet. I am so serious try this. Get the book asap! And follow he plan. You will loose enough weight. It's not just a 17 day diet it's cycles of 17 days each but the first 17 limit what you can eat and it helps you loose so much.

For example I ate 2 eggs and cucumber in the morning. A fruit before 2pm and then salad and liberal amounts of chicken for lunch and dinner. The first cycle is a cleansing cycle and that's where you get the fast loss.

Seriously though look up the reviews. It's not even that hard of a diet, it was for me because I hate seafood and turkey and those are like the only things you can eat in the beginning lol. I stopped doing it because I'm a quitter lol and I'm also pretty body positive but if I had a situation where I couldn't fit in my dress this is definitely what I'd do. Good luck girl.

Cutting sodium while increasing water will really help with bloating. Read labels carefully and avoid any prepackaged meals. Also, while you wait for your chicken to grill toss in some jumping jacks or something that will get your heart going. Use those moments to boost the cardiovascular work you're already doing.

Eat a lot of watermelon, carrots, cabbage and green apples. They are filled with water and will help with the water weight. Be prepared to use the bathroom a lot. And like others have said. Drink a ton of water. I promise this works!
