Crate and Barrel Registry

Allie, on April 3, 2019 at 9:59 AM Posted in Registry 0 18

Has anyone used Crate and Barrel for their registry? They always pop up on my Facebook Ads and I LOVE their stuff, but I've never ordered anything from there. Is it good quality stuff?

Yes! We used them for our registry and love everything! We registered for a lot of hosting things, kitchen-ware, etc. It's all awesome!

Sweet! Did you happen to get any towels from them?

No we haven't but I've been to the actual store and everything felt like great quality!

We will also be registering at Crate & Barrel. Their stuff is very nice and I liked the fact that they host private registry events for couples while the store is closed to the public. (We are attending our event on Apr 28.)

We attended on in February and it was amazing! My advice would be to download their app on your phone before you go.

When end we went we had a few items that we knew we 100% wanted to add so we started with those to get in the “swing of it” (adding a few place setting to what we already have at home)! They basically set you free in the store, so I would recommend to look through the website to get ideas before you go otherwise it can be a little overwhelming!

We had a registry there! Obsessed with everything we got. We mostly registered for kitchen things like plates, cups, flatware, serving pieces etc.

Yeah, their quality is great and they have a nice selection of products. We love Crate & Barrel and thankfully they're a really popular registry option in my hometown! I also like that they offer group gifting options, so you can register for more expensive items like cookware sets, Kitchenaid mixers, etc. and make it easy for multiple guests to contribute. We're doing C&B, Macy's, and our Zola honeymoon fund.

One thing to note - when you're ready to start sharing the registry with other people, I don't know if there's an easy way for you to find the link in your internal registry portal. I had to make the registry public, search for my name on their site, and then copy the registry link from there.

I love a lot of their stuff - super good quality. Just an fyi, their free shipping limit is much higher than a lot of other stores. When I'm invited to bridal showers, I usually end up purchasing from another place (target, BBB, etc). I typically spend around $40-50 for a shower gift and I would prefer to spend all of that on the actual gift instead of 35 on the gift and 50 for shipping if that's my budget.

Not necessarily a reason to forego the registry if you like their stuff, but might make it slightly less appealing for the people purchasing the gift if there is not one close to enough to stop in and they have to order online!

Loved! I had never bought anything from them prior to my wedding, but I am now a big fan of theirs. If possible, I would try to go to one in person! As someone else mentioned, you can download their app that has a barcode scanner and do it all yourself. There were a ton of things I saw in the store and LOVED but probably wouldn't have found online. Maybe make a cute little trip out of it, or if you're on a vacation anytime soon see if there's a store near there!

Everything else we got was amazing and wonderful, but the towels were a disaster. This post actually reminded me to call them about the towels. They are sending us new ones for free, but it is just kind of a hassle that would be best if you could just avoid it.

My daughter used them and it’s been very frustrating. I’m sure some of it is pandemic related, but items out of stock every week, multiple sets sent of things, shipping out of the warehouse has taken months for some items to ship with no updates along the way (not even commenting on the postal service - just Crate and Barrel!)), and when we call customer service - very slow to get someone and it takes multiple calls to get something resolved. Truly an awful experience. Would NOT recommend.
