Crazy/funny/wild Stories Wedding Stories

Theadra, on August 7, 2021 at 1:33 AM Posted in Married Life 0 7

Here are some of my stories from my wedding :

1) Most of my guests were drunk (didn't seem like it though, which is great)

2) The best man asked for my bridesmaid's (grooms sister) number. We found out from my cousin the day after

3) Guests were sooo late that we started 30 mins (didn't mess up the timeline , we weren't able to play another game. But we think one was enough)

4) A guest "insisted" but we knew it was too good to be true, had TWO females (let me see if I can say it in a nice way) "accompany" him the last hour of the wedding lol. My husband's co worker called them out in front of their face.

5) Had my bouquet toss and my friends caught it. Crazy enough these are hubby and I new friends and we didn't know they were together for 10 years!! So when she caught it , I looked at her mans and my dad and my father in law talked to him about it! AWKK lol. Everything is fine

6) My dad and father in law were at the bar slamming long island iced teas before the wedding. TYPICAL lmaoo

7) Our flower girl (fur baby) took a while walking down the aisle , admiring people.

8) Hubby co workers (married couple) got into a dispute. The wife was badly drunk. And after the wedding punched a window(like the glass broke) ! Everything is fine with them, but hubby said her fists were swollen when he want back to work dayss later.

All in all I loved my day and wouldn't have it any other way! Love looking back at these stories and hearing different versions from different people. Even some of the pics tell it all ahaha. What are yours?

What a good post idea! Funny story from our wedding is...
My husband and I grew up in separate towns 3 hours drive apart. His long time family friends came to our wedding. The father of that family said to me “your dad looks familiar, I think we went to college together”. I pulled my dad over to introduce them. Turns out he was a groomsman in my aunt’s first wedding (since remarried) back in the 70s and they all were college classmates!! What a small world!!! 😂❤️

My first wedding.. my shoes were killing me later in the night, so I was barefoot in the ballroom. Someone broke a glass and didn't tell anyone. Long story short, cut my foot, blood all over the bottom of my dress lol. Funny.. the scar lasted longer than that marriage! lol

My husband was an hour late.

    Long story short, traffic.

But what was particularly amusing: he had insisted on us using a particular baker, who was a professional colleague of his. This had actually been a pre-wedding fight over which baker we would use, in which he had a complete groomzilla meltdown before getting his way.

I had originally selected dark chocolate buttercream icing, but after some décor changes, I realized last minute - literally, the day before - that this would not coordinate with anything else in the wedding. I called the baker to change it to just regular buttercream, and they said it was no problem, they didn't even make the icing until the day of. Easy change.

Well, I forgot to tell... everyone. My husband, my mom, my bridesmaids. All were expecting a dark chocolate cake.

When the cake showed up, my mom and bridesmaids were horrified. They came in to the bridal prep room, faces white - I'd thought the darn thing had fallen over. When they showed me a picture of our perfect cake, I was like ? What's the problem here? "Isn't... isn't the icing supposed to be chocolate?" OH NO! No! I changed it last night - sorry, guys! It's perfect!

Hubby wasn't there, so he didn't get the memo.

So, as he shows up an hour late to our wedding, he sees the cake. And his heart drops. In between the ceremony and reception, he asks if I've seen the cake yet. I immediately know what he's thinking, so I assure him I'd changed the icing color.

He said, "my first thought when I saw it was oh man, she's gonna kill me.... I insisted we use [the baker] and he screwed it up!!!!!"

    Whooooooooooops.

Nothing really crazy happened at ours, but we had some chuckle moments during the bouquet and garter tosses.

Bouquet: My friend made our bouquets using motorcycle grips to hold the stems together. They were beautiful, but my toss bouquet did start falling apart at one point. So when I tossed it, the bouquet kind of broke in half-ish and 2 people caught it. One was my sister (MOH) who is in a serious relationship with a REALLY great guy. (Honestly, I really hope things work out for them. He's amazing for her.) The other was one of my best friends (a bridesmaid) who's never even been in a relationship.

Garter: My husband decided he would sling shot it (like you'd do with a rubber band) backwards over his head. His aim was.... not great and it ended up getting stuck on a ceiling fan. Lucky for us, we have some tall friends. One of them (6'4") just walked over and plucked the garter off the fan.

Ah, wait, one more! To go with our motorcycle theme, our centerpieces were custom-made laser printed 3D models of MotoGP tracks. When one of our friends left, he "stole" one of the centerpieces. It was all in good fun, and he was super obvious about it by wearing it around his neck and specifically calling attention to it. He also took a selfie with it after he got home and sent us that picture a few days later, so we definitely knew where it was. He was fully expecting us to take it back soon (he literally lives only 5 minutes down the road from us), but we've decided to let him keep it. He hosts MotoGP watch parties throughout the season, so it's kind of our "thank you" gift to him for putting those on.
