Creative Brides: pusheen cake topper help!

Carol, on February 10, 2018 at 10:25 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9
Hey ladies!

My FH and I have something very special for us and would love to add cute little Pusheens onto our wedding cake! Pusheen is a cartoon fat cat that we love to send to each other- it’s very unique to our relationship.

Does anyone know if this cake topper exists?

OR how could I create them myself?

Any ideas are welcome!

Yeah- I haven’t found anything! Smiley sad so I’m wondering how to DIY it (unless someone knows it actually exists)

Maybe look into laser wood cutting in your area. I know there is a company local to me that does laser cut wood cake toppers. You could probably see if they would do the shape and then you could paint it or just leave it wooden.

Most any wedding cake maker could make them out of fondant.

Check to see if you could re-purpose any pusheen merchandise, like this night light.

    https://www.amazon.com/GoLine-Valentines-Multicolor-Breathing-Girlfriend/dp/B01DXOYCK8/ref=sr_1_151_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1518324086&sr=8-151&keywords=pusheens&th=1

    or these ornaments

    https://www.amazon.com/Enesco-Pusheen-set-6-ornaments/dp/B06XD7QV3K/ref=sr_1_17?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1518324802&sr=1-17&keywords=pusheens

If you find a plush figure that is the right size, you can coat a wooden skewer with glue and insert it through a circular base and into the pusheen to the right height. The glue will make sure it stays in place. You can use a small disc of plastic or a cake plate as a base, to keep the plush off the frosting.

There are places that do 3-D printing! Sometimes universities have these.

Look at spencers, hot topic, and really anywhere that sells a lot of pusheen. I'm sure they have little figurines. Even if it's a keychain you can cut the hook off.

I was thinking that too! I know around in the DMV area they have little community spots that allow people to do their crafts and encourage building and collaboration. Maybe something like that along with looking at libraries. Smiley smile
