Cricut brides - Anyone using their machine to address invites? Looking for good single line fonts!

MrsVoegs17, on June 9, 2017 at 2:18 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 9

I started playing around with addressing invites with my Cricut last night. The problem I am running into is that the script/handwriting font I am using for all of my wedding related things has varied thickness in the strokes, so when I write with my Cricut, it only writes the outline. I have found a couple of fonts that I kind of like, but they just aren't making me as happy.

Have any of you used your machine to do addresses, and what single line fonts have you found that work well and look nice?

Chloe is good I've used that one for writing. There are 2 types of Chloe but I can't remember the other name.

Moonflower is one of my favorites I'm not sure if it has a writing style though!

I ran into the same problem so I got super frustrated and just printed them out from a printer and I found it much easier.

P.S. Make sure your ink is waterproof, someone posted in a cricut fb page that some got returned due to getting wet from rain and the ink bled everywhere.

FutureMrsE.. I was SO frustrated last night I was cursing up a storm and FH was just laughing at me. I am considering just printing on clear labels so I can use whatever font I want. I have a cheap printer and I don't know if I can print envelopes on it... I haven't really looked into it yet.

Girrrrrl I have a run of the mill printer and 10/10 was so easy. I would recommend cutting pieces of paper the same size as your envelopes just to test because the hardest part for me was getting the centering right (I was using it for the small 3.5x4.5 envelopes for STDs, not an option in word.) I think if you are using a regular size envelope , the sizing should be available and make it much easier.

I'll have to check it out this weekend. My envelopes are kind of odd sized I think. I was having a hell of a time getting them centered right last night with my Cricut!

I'm using Margaret May! It's nothing overly fancy, but neither is my wedding, so it works lol.

I used mine for addressing envelopes. I forgot the name of the font that I used but it wasn't a script font or anything. Make sure the font you select is categorized as "has a writing style" because if not you're just going to get the outline. Also, create a box the size of your envelope and then a text box, then you can select everything afterward and center the address.

Is there a way you can categorize system fonts as "has a writing style"?
