Cricut DIY help

Susan and Will, on December 11, 2015 at 1:41 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

I recently got a cricut... does anyone know how to make straight cuts? I am trying to DIY my belly band for my invitations.

Thanks so much! If you are familiar and can help, as detailed as possible would really help me out!

Which cricut version did you buy?

If you have a cricut explore or above, just use the shapes option to create rectangles in equal intervals on the cricut design center.

Do you have access to cricut design space? If so, just choose the template from online or load your own. Here is a template you can use and modify.

I don't have a cricut but I have used one so I get the idea. Not trying to sound rude this is an actual suggestion. If all you are doing is making straight cuts can you just use a good quality paper cutter?

I have the cricut explore. Thanks for your help, I will try the suggestions!! I appreciate it!

Not rude at all, I'm also going to be cutting out our initials or doing something to the bands. If I was just doing cuts, I would use a paper cutter.

Oh- the Cricut is amazing. You just tell it what to cut and walk away. A few minutes later you would have a whole sheet of bands cut out and ready to fold. Much easier than using a paper cutter.
