Cricut envelopes

Christine, on January 21, 2018 at 6:18 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 4 26
I almost didn't use my cricut to address envelopes from all the troubles I read about it. But I just started and they are coming out so easy! Just wanted to share a tip if you're using the cricut pens, to make a little scribble on scrap paper between envelopes so make sure the pen isn't running out. My pen started to fade in and out with use, but it stopped when I did a little writing on scrap paper.

This is this they are coming! This is the gold glitter pen 0.8 for reference.

Cute! Thanks for the tip, I'll try and remember this when I'm doing my envelopes.

The Cricut is a crafting machine that does the writing for you, it is not OP's handwriting.

I love the gold ink, that classes it up even more! Great job!

Thanks! Gold is one of our wedding colors, and there is gold foil writing on the save the date itself, so I figured it needed gold ink!

It never even occurred to me to use my Cricut for addressing our invitations! Thabks for the tip!

I'm doing a TON of other stuff with the Cricut though. I was able to use one of the hearts off of our invitations and incorporate it into our water bottle labels and do not disturb signs for our welcome bags at the hotel, stickers for our cookie box favors, table setting cards and a few other things.

Cute! I used mine to write out my entire invitation set, but they didn't work out how I wanted due to the font having to be so small. And my mother constantly putting in fatter pens...

The cricut is great for addressing though!!

Super cute. Which font? That might give me an excuse to get some new pens! Plus it will make DH think the cricut is more than just something I use for scrapbooking.

I would like to know the font as well. I also have a cricut and am planning to use it for addressing envelopes too

The cursive used for the names is called Elizabeth and the address is called Straight & Narrow I believe

How long did it take you to do all your invitations? I'm debating if I want to use my cricut to address or not.

I'd say about 5 minutes per envelope. I took my time (football game was on so I was in and out). I had a template made and I had an excel sheet with everyone's names and addresses so I was able to save time by copy and pasting.

A mobile device with a camera can be used to line everything up and write. Devices with large screens are easier to use. Just download the Cricut App. It can synch with your machine via Bluetooth

Haven't tried the 2.0 calligraphy pens yet. Bought two packs and both of them were completely dried out when I got home a d opened them. I was curious to see how they looked too!

How did you set up the canvas to print the writing in the correct spot? And how did you direct the words to be writing and not cut? I just go a CRICUT for Christmas, so im super new to the design space.
