Crochet doilies: pretty or Grandma?

I keep purchasing and collecting crochet lace doilies like this from my grandmother who recently passed, yard sales, flea markets etc. with the intent to do something similar to this. I'm planning on tan table cloths and blue mason jars with these doilies. Are they pretty or too Grandma looking? Also I've found white, ivory and tan. Would the tan doily look weird on a tan tablecloth?

I think they are super cute! I wouldn't do tan on tan unless they are different shades.

I think that's super cute! I love lace and all things vintage and rustic. Tan on tan might look a little off tho.

I have a whole collection my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother made. I personally love them and have them around my current home. The new house we just bought is very modern, which I also love, but I'm sad to put the doilies away....

Maybe I'll try and sun bleach the tan ones, who knows maybe they're just dingy anyway since they're old. I'd be afraid to use actual bleach.

They are no different than any other hand-crafted piece of art (all of which are unique and have an unmistakable charm). With your decor, I think they'll be lovely.

I'm doing this as well. I originally was going to sew them into a runner, but I think I'm too lazy. Lol

Edit: on mobile, and damn autocorrect put see instead of sew!! Bah.
