Hey, everyone!

I'm getting married September 21st, and I'm doing my own makeup to help cut on expenses. Does anyone know of a good foundation, mascara, and lipsticks/stains that stay through pretty much anything? I have oily skin, and foundations like Fenty and Bare Minerals melted off my nose by the end of the day, despite me setting them with both powder and sprays. My fiancé is such a sweetheart, I know I'm going to at least tear up during the ceremony, so I'd really like to still look picture-ready at the end of everything. Help!

Tarte's Lights, Camera, Splashes is a GREAT waterproof mascara. If you don't use eyeshadow primer, Urban Decay's works WONDERS for me and my oily skin--yep, even my eyelids get oily. Eyeliner can be tricky, but I've found that, in a pinch, e.l.f.'s liquid eyeliner stays through just about everything! On lazy days when I just wore eyeliner and mascara it didn't budge!

That's all really helpful! I'm a major skincare junkie (I probably have more scrubs and masks and such than I really need!) so I will definitely be trying to put more facials into my routine.

Thanks so much! I'll have to look into all of those. I got a sample for that Smashbox primer and really liked it! And I completely forgot that I have a set of fake lashes I might could use--I just hope I don't cry them off!

Ekkk💖💖 I love makeup shopping. I've become great friends with one of the estheticians at my local Ulta lol. Since you have oily skin I suggest using: Lancome La Base Pro Pore Eraser Mattifying Primer. After washing your face do you moisturize? You can also use your setting spray before applying your makeup then re-apply after you've finished. Have fun!

I used to be so bad at moisturizing, but I do it every time I wash my face now that I understand how my skin works! Right now I'm using one by Murad. And I've never tried setting spray before makeup; I'll totally give that a shot! Thank you!

Following because I know I'll have the same problem. I have a large forehead & the last thing I need is to be gleaming like a caution sign in my photos lol. Also I have the same wedding date! Smiley heart

Thanks. I’m gonna have to buy these and try them out before the big day.

Definitely pop on some fake lashes instead of mascara! There are even magnetic ones now at drugstore if you’re not comfortable with the glueing process.

My MUA said the trick to getting it to stay is too use a silicone based setting spray which is like theatre makeup. Idk if you have a Sephora or ulta near you but im sure if you asked someone that works there they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Fake lashes with mascara is going to be your best bet imo

I bought Ben Nye Final Sealing spray for my big day. I haven't received it in the mail yet, but I read the reviews and heard that it's what stage performers use and drag queens use to keep their makeup locked throughout their performance and all that sweat. Normal people have said that their makeup does NOT rub off on their pillowcase when they sleep in their makeup.
