Crying with false lashes?!

Stephanie, on April 13, 2018 at 12:48 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 18

Hello ladies!

I’m going to wear false lashes on the big day. (Lash extensions aren't in my price range) My real lashes are non-exsistant so this is a very necessary thing for me! I'm very used to wearing them on a day to day basis but my problem is, I know it’s gonna be a cryfest. I’m wondering if any of you have any experience with false eyelashes and did they survive the waterworks?! I would love to know some brands of lashes and/or glue you use!

Thanks!!Helpful (0)

I wish I had advice to give but I’ve cried many pairs of false lashes off and am planning on getting lash extensions for this reason. My best advice would be to do a trial run with different pairs/glues. Try different ones and watch a sad movie where you’ll cry and see how they hold up?

Mine did. And I definitely cried, especially during the father daughter dance. I had no issues with the lashes falling off or getting wonky.

Can I ask what brand you used for the lashes itself and the glue?

I wear lashes, personally. I use a waterproof glue and have never had an issue., MUA know there are tears and should use high quality products to ensure this isn't an issue for you.

I use Ardell brands! For lashes and for the glue!

Are you having your makeup done professionally? If so, I'm sure they have some stronger glue to ensure they stay!

I've never been comfortable wearing false lashes and yes I have cried them off. For this reason I'm getting lash extensions.

I use ardell lashes & glue, I have cried while wearing them and they have held up. I would just make sure you really glue them down before!

I hadn't thought of this but at my trial my MUA brought it up and "double glued" my lashes-- she put them on like every other application, but then put some extra glue on a Q-Tip and dabbed it along the band on the outside as well.. those suckers didn't even want to come off 12 hours later!
