csv Import Issue

Sarah, on January 10, 2018 at 8:12 PM Posted in Account Support 0 7

So I spent a significant amount of time making a spreadsheet of addresses, and harassing my fiance to put in his people...only to have this error

"Too many errors in the worksheet, please follow the specified format. You cannot have duplicate headers, please modify your headers correctly."

I followed the example template exactly. This is infuriating.

Has anyone else had this/how did you fix it?

Thank you!

Are you able to take a screen shot of the spreadsheet? My FH works with excel and knows it very well. I will see what he recommends you do.

One thing that you can look at is on your headings do you have more than one with the same name, I.e two headings stating "Name." If you have headings that are repeated, change the duplicates to a differed header name, even one letter or number difference is fine. I have asked my FH if he can help also

I was told that there probably is a conflict in o e of the columns with the format it allows and what you are trying to enter into it. Check the columns to see if you are trying to put text into a formtmat that requires numbers or dates, or out dates or numbers into text or formula formats. I hope that helps.

I had this happen...I believe I simply changed all the headers to be totally different, also no spaces in header names.

Hi Sarah! Make sure you have set up the excel spreadsheet exactly as our instructions are laid out. It's helpful to use the example CSV Template!

    Hi there!

I think it took me getting super frustrated to figure it out. There were some notes off to the side and not under any column. Once I deleted those everything for the most part transferred over.

    Thank you!!
