So my $400 wedding cake budget has left me wondering, which would people prefer cupcakes or sheet cake?

I really like @2d Bride's idea of multiple cakes, but not sure about the cost. Between the cupcakes and sheet cake, I'd probably choose sheet cake. But I've had cupcakes as a guest and didn't mind it.

Question... who would be cutting the sheet cake? Will someone be per cutting the sheet cake? Will you be paying someone to cut it?

Any ways I'm getting my cup cakes for $1.50 a piece. I think its so much easyier (and cheaper) not having someone stand there and cut cake. and I've seen some really cute displays with the small cake and the cupcake

Presentation wise and ease of access cupcakes. Price-unless using sams club for the cupcakes, sheet cake is so much cheaper and can get it in more flavors. My end result-getting cupcakes from sams club. Yes we are limited on flavors but they still taste awesome and are cheap enough that we can order 2 for each person.

Cupcakes are cute, and i like them, but they can also by expensive. I would look into maybe buying cake(s) from Sams Club or Costco maybe. We bought our wedding cake, a 2 tier cake, and a 1/2 sheet cake (birthday cake )

I'd go with the small 2-tier and then do sheet cakes. It's in the back and no one will see. Unless you want the display of the cup cakes.
