Custom bouquets

Has anyone done their own bouquet and / or bridesmaids bouquets? I’m not sure that I want to take on all of the florals, but I think it could be a fun night before activity with the girls.

It does sound like fun — especially if you and your bridesmaids are crafty — but I wouldn’t do it the night before the wedding. Take it from someone that just got married 2 weeks ago, the night before your wedding should be reserved for the “what if’s” and nothing that you HAVE to get done. You’ll be running around making sure last minute touches are finished and you don’t want to be stressed out about your florals. Now, if you are talking about fresh florals, I would do them the morning of the day before your wedding (not that night) to give yourself some time to make sure they are just right! If you’re thinking faux flowers, I would do it a month before the wedding to get that crossed off my list. 😊

Our venue has an all inclusive package that includes a $400 budget for flowers. They’ll make my bouquet, sweetheart table centerpiece, cake flowers & deliver them to the venue for the $400. I bought some long stem flowers at Hobby Lobby with some ribbon that we are going to assemble a few days before the wedding. The day before all I plan on doing is nails, pedicure & tying up any loose ends. I definitely wouldn’t plan another thing (even if it sounds like fun) the day before. Can you do this a few days before?

I made my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets I think that its a fun idea to do them all together especially if you have a lot of bridesmaids that way you aren’t overwhelmed and each of them are a little more personalized!

I made my bridesmaid bouquets with fresh flowers. I did them the morning before. Then I wrapped my groomsmen boutonnières right before I got into my dress because I forgot about them, haha.

I also made my bouquet and bridesmaids! My bridesmaids didn’t help make them, but we did video chat while I was doing it for fun!

My sister had a winter wedding and my mom ended up doing all her bouquets! They were faux flowers but they turned out amazing. I'm using fresh flowers and will be helping my mom make the bouquets the morning of the wedding.

Check out flower moxie! They sell flowers but they also have an amazing amount of resources for learning how to create different bouquets. So far their videos have been the most helpful for me because they're clearly explained and illustrated and they tell you exactly how much of each component you need to create a similar look. Good luck! 😄

I have seen this done many times and I have to warn against it because unless you have proper refrigeration for the florals if you put them in your regular refrigerator your flowers will be over chilled and turn brown. Also most flowers cannot be left out overnight without wilting especially hydrangeas which are a very popular wedding flower.
