Custom designed signage sizes and where to order??

Lindsay, on June 1, 2018 at 3:32 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

Hello! Smiley laugh Being a graphic designer, I am planning on designing everything (invitations, Save the Dates, programs, etc.) including signage for the ceremony and reception. But I really have no idea what size to make them and where to order custom signs. What's the typical size for a sign to put on an easel, what would the signs be made out of, and where is the cheapest place to order them (our budget is very low and mostly DIY, so the cheaper the better)? Thank you! Smiley smile

    Vistaprint 100%!!!

You can upload your designs there and have them print them. They have 50% off sales often, are easy to work with, the customer service is awesome and they have fast shipping.

I ordered all of my paper products from them so far and we plan to get our invites there as well.

My welcome sign is an 18x24in. (going on an easel) and my cookie table sign is 11x17in. Hope this helps!

I don't know about signs, but I designed my entire invite suite and had them printed by Costco. They did a great job and were very reasonably priced.

Most of my signs were 5x7. I had a couple of 8x10 sizes. My guest tree sketch was 11x17. My welcome sign was huge - it was 24''x36'' and we used a big floor easel to display it. I had my paper signs made by the same site on Etsy that did my wedding invitation suite. I also had my wooden welcome sign made on Etsy.

Hey Lindsay! Welcome to the DIY signage club! I'm a graphic designer and making my own, too. Here's the sizes I'm doing and would recommend:

Welcome Sign: 24x36 - print posters at Staples or Vistaprint and spray adhesive them to foam core. Make sure you rent an easel to stand them up.

Escort Card Sign: Depending on what you're doing for escort cards, I would go 18x24 or 24x36 for larger displays - print posters at Staples or Vistaprint and spray adhesive them to foam core

Bar Signs: 8x10 - print at Staples and put in a picture frame that matches your aesthetic. I'm putting mine in a 'floating' style frame to make the overall sign feel larger. and more modern

Guestbook or other small signs: 5x7

Table Numbers: 4x6 - You can buy holders on amazon, Koyal wholesale, etc

Photobooth: 18x24 - I would mount to foam core and rent an easel for this too. Going too small for this and people will miss it

Forgot to add that I recommend Cards and Pockets for printing your own designs for invitations and save the dates.
