Custom dress?

I think it depends on where you get it. I looked at doing a custom dress in LA and it was anywhere from $8,000 and higher. That was definitely out of my price range. But maybe in a different place it will be cheaper!

I've checked out Cocomelody and anomalie, I'm just concerned about quality. It worries me to order without seeing in person first.

I had my dress and veil custom made and had a great experience. I found a local dressmaker on Yelp and we worked together to design my sketch based on my Pinterest pins. She took my measurements and suggested the type of fabrics and how much to buy. Because I live close to San Francisco she recommended I buy my fabrics at Britex Fabrics which is a 4-story fabric store in San Francisco that has an amazing selection of fabrics and accessories. They started working on my dress about 2 months before the wedding and it took about 5 fittings as we tweaked things along the way. It was really fun to see the dress start to come together.
