So I need some advice or opinions. My FH and I are not sure how to do this. We are having our Catholic Church ceremony this year with immediate family and our bridal party and then we are having a dinner and cake at a restaurant afterwards. We will be doing a large wedding reception next year on our Anniversary date with all of our guest that we would have had this year. This reception is where we will have our large formal wedding cake.
So my question to everyone is, do we do a cake cutting at dinner this year as well as the reception or just the reception? Our cake for the restaurant dinner will just be a normal cake not super fancy so I am torn. I feel like the cake cutting should be done after your wedding (so this year) but at the same time I want to do it on our true wedding cake with all of our friends and family next year.
Would it be weird to do it twice?
