Cutting Italian Crepe Paper with a Cutting Machine

Chi-Chi, on July 3, 2017 at 11:22 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 6

Hi All,

I'm prepping to make paper flower centerpieces with Italian crepe paper and am hoping that you all can help me out. Has anyone tried to cut this type of paper with a cutting machine like a Cricut or Silhouette?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance (:

I haven't but this blogger has.

whereas this blogger prefers to cut by hand. She feels the texture of the paper causes it to tear

I think the paper would tear if you used a cutting machine

I haven't tried cutting crepe paper, but my Silhouette has been awesome for our wedding. I've used to address my invites, cut vinyl lettering for signs, make stencils to etch custom pint glasses, cut out cardstock for tags, etc. It's been amazing!

@soon-to-be-Mrs-K, how does the cost compare for you? Could you give me an idea of how much money you saved with your Silhouette?
