Dance floor in corner of room

Every wedding I have attended with dancing, the dance area has been one end of the room and it worked out great. Can you section off an end instead of a corner? I don’t see it being a problem because people will dance wherever is available.

This seems a little strange if you ask me. Typically the dance floor is usually in the middle of the room or towards the "top or bottom" of the room. I think in the corner would be a little isolated.

I'm having my venue move the dance floor to have the chandelier and draping in the middle of the dance floor. Right now it's at one end of the dance floor due to the configuration of the ceiling. I couldn't handle seeing the "middle point of the draping" not be in the middle of the dance floor.

I’ve been to one with it in the corner and a couple with it at the end of the room. It worked out totally fine! Guests will find the dance floor no matter what.

We had the dance floor at one end of the room with the tables & buffet at the other end. It worked out perfectly since the bar was stationed in the middle.

I actually think that’s great! Guests have gotten up to dance much sooner in weddings I’ve been to with a more ‘private’ dance floor location - less reason to be self conscious if you aren’t in the middle of a room. It’s not like they won’t be able to find it, stop worrying 😉
