Dance floor

Ashley, on February 14, 2021 at 3:43 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9
Hello everyone, I am a little bit stressed out about the dance floor. We have 55 guest and it will be in a outdoor setting backyard type wedding. I was looking at dance floors they are very expensive and the 12x12 looks really small. What size did you get for this amount of people? Or should I just have my father in law make one? (He’s into making stuff)

Our venue was charging way too much to rent a small dance floor; so we made a 20x20 square with lanterns and it was so perfect!

Lol! You crack me up! Keep in mind that not all 55 people will be on the dance floor at the same time & you know your crowd. According to google only 30-40% of people will be on the dance floor at any given time. Your 12x12 or 15x15 will be fine (I’m leaning towards 12x12).

Ask your dj or party rental business. Also renting is more economical because you will not be keeping it afterwards.

To give a scale comparison for size, the average bedroom in a home is 10× 10 or 12×12. That is the size of most dance floors.

Your 12x12 should be fine because like a PP said, not everyone will be dancing at the same time and people dont have to be standing literally on the dance floor, especially in a backyard they can dance on the grass or in place at their table
