Dark circles under my eyes have always been a big problem for me. In high school, doctors said it was because I was anemic. But my iron levels have been really good lately and I'm still having this issue. Does anyone else struggle with this, and if so, do you use any products that help? I put on concealer and foundation the other day and it just made it worse like there is even a different texture to my skin under my eyes and the makeup just enhanced the patchiness.

I've seen several brands and was thinking about trying some of those. I will definitely post an update if I try them.

My brother got dark under eye marks from taking accutane, it made his skin so thin under his eyes! He got fillers and they look a lot better. I would suggest an eye cream to use everyday, an eye repair one that specifically mentions dark circles!

I do struggle with this and I'm getting Kybella under my eyes TBH. I use really full coverage concealer & foundation currently and that hides the issue though! (MAC prolongwear concealer & my MUFE Mat Velvet foundation are my favorites) I also have a strict kind of long skincare routine that I know helps. Mario Badescu has the best depuffing eye cream that I use twice a day and I use under eye masks every morning as I do my eye makeup and every night while I brush my teeth and get ready for bed. They make me feel more awake in the mornings and help in the evenings as well. posted a picture of the under eye masks & I get them on Amazon!

I was gonna recommend CoverFX too! They have great coverage OP, but it blends well at the same time.

I also really like these eye creams. It's not gonna make the darkness completely go away, but they for sure help.

I do have this issue. 3 things that really helped:

1.) I started drinking a gallon of water a day - this has by far made the biggest difference. I was blown away.

2.) Urban decay color corrector in pink

3.) (I hate admitting this one) KKW Beauty's Brightening powder

Those 3 things have made the world of difference for me.

Have you tried the color correcting concealers? Orange would be the one to use. Put that on before foundation, it'll look a little scary but that stuff seems to help some.

I use a yellowish concealer under my eyes. It really hides the purple undertones that show when you have very translucent skin.

After you put it on, then add a skin tone concealer or foundation of you want.

I use an orange color correction cream underneath my NARS foundation. It’s not perfect and I get stressed about it too because my eye circles are so noticeable for me! I don’t think anyone else will notice. I may try the Burt’s Bees stuff that other posters have recommended.

Allie, guess who is in the same boat?!! I'm very pale, too. Strawberry blonde. Same issue. Nothing works for me. When I did my hair and makeup trial for our postponed wedding last fall, the make-up artist actually had it covered and it looked natural! No joke. My new MUA is going to use Revolution foundation in the 01 shade and I think the translucent baking powder to set things. Since no trial, I pray it all goes well. I did have a medical consultation about 4 years ago and all he, Dr, could offer was good night cream and good concealer/foundation.

P.S. I do use those Korean paper masks, the ones that hydrate, with lots of hylouranic acid. They are amazing!! Seems to make it not quite so dark and there's enough to wipe on my face a few days every morning. I refrigerate after opening. You will be gorgeous!!

This is very true and a great optio !! Please do your research before getting any injections! I work at a facial plastics office in California and the surgeon is the only one who does the injections in the office- not to say a nurse can’t do great work but just do your research! Smiley smile

    Hi Allie!

There are a number of professional treatments which can help with dark circles including PRP, AKA platelet-rich plasma treatment, AKA the vampire facial. Schedule an appointment with a cosmetologist to see if this treatment would be beneficial to your dark circles or what other options are available.

For concealing, I find a color correcting concealer works wonders. All you need is a little and it goes a long way!

My personal favorite is the Urban Decay color corrector in pink as Rachel already mentioned.

Are you booking a makeup artist for your wedding day?

So I have this but more greeny coloring/darker under my left eye. Have had it practically my whole life. Your skin is just thin and/or it's just your make up of your body (possibly veins even if it doesn't look like veins). Filler probably works. I have always just used a good concealer and powder and mine is generally fine. But my good side is always my right side. Doesn't help that when I was little I also busted my face open right above my cheekbone and also have a scar on the left side too. When I do my concealer with my sponge I put on more to "fill in" my scar and cover more of the darkness and tap it in with my finger. You could try color corrector first, then concealer. Caffeine eye products are generally good for brightening as well.

I have it too. It sucks. At 32 I have very fine lines under my eyes that are ONLY noticeable when concealer settles into them. So I either have dark circles but no wrinkles, or I conceal the dark circles but look 10 years older 🙄

I'm really hoping a professional HMU will be able to help on the big day.

I'm so jealous of people who had these awesome transformations when they started chugging water!!

I started drinking 3 liters of water per day 4 years ago, and it's a permanent habit for me now, but i never noticed any changes to myself visually 😒

I have this same issue. I’m very fair skinned with freckles, so I really don’t like applying that much makeup. Please be careful with any new products or procedures before the big day. What I normally do is hold a frozen green tea bag under my eyes for 30 sec to a min if I’m puffy. Then I apply a little Tarte “shape tape” concealer. It is a miracle concealer. One bottle lasted me a year and a half, so it’s well worth the price. I also just apply it under eyes and blend it so that I can still keep my freckles visible, as I don’t use foundation. It works so well I don’t need to!

I use an orange-ish tone concealer sometimes. I don't usually wear makeup so I was hoping for some solutions to try that don't require makeup.
