What kind of music do you both like?

My dad and I are into 80s rock so I'm looking at songs on this list.

Our song is "My Little Girl" - Tim McGraw but we will probably both cry like babies so we won't be using it lol.

By the way - don't look for songs at work like me, or else you may find yourself messing up your mascara Smiley smile

It might be special to let him pick the song 😊 My dad chose "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.

This is so incredibly sweet of you! And i love the idea of doing a dance with your FIL. A few I found that might work for you:

Ben E. King, Stand By You

Beatles, I'm Happy Just to Dance with You

    Club Nouveau, Lean On Me

    Dolly Parton, Family

    Elton John, Blessed

    Faith Hill, There You'll Be

Frank Sinatra, The Way You Look Tonight

Louis Armstrong, What A Wonderful World

Michael Buble, The Best is Yet to Come

    Hi Tara,
Omg this list AMAZING thank you soo much. This is such a great list. I am actually thinking about the song Lean on Me. I think it is perfect!!! We have a great relationship. I have only been in my fiance's life for less than 4 years and he accepted me right away. He comes to for advice, i do the same and if one of us is down we know we can count on eachother. My fiance tells him all the time "Hey dad you come here to see me or my fiance haha". Thank you again!

Rosemary, so glad you found these options helpful! I think Lean On Me would be so sweet. It seems appropriate for the relationship and still uplifting. I have goose bumps right now... seriously, that is so wonderful! And that's how you know you found a good man... not only he loves you but his family does too Smiley winking

That is so wonderful! In-laws can make or break a relationship so I'm so glad to hear that you are so close to yours. It makes the marriage that much sweeter Smiley heart Yes I have been married for nearly 4 years now! I still like to come on here because I love all things wedding and hope to one day be an event planner. My younger sister is about to be engaged so I also follow along to get ideas for her. Marriage is wonderful! I'd be lying if I said there were no obstacles, but overall, it's such a beautiful thing. I feel blessed every day to have the incredible husband I do and I'm so grateful for our marriage. Sometimes people think nothing will change when you get married (if you've been together for a while or live together). But I think something does change.. it's all good though! But, when you get married, the dynamics of your relationship changes slightly in the most wonderful way. I wish you all the best and enjoy engagement and your wedding!!
