So... My real father was very abusive, i haven't spoken to him in over 10 years.

My fiance has his heart set on doing a father/daughter and mother/son dance at our wedding. His father is very special to me, i have known the whole family for YEARS (15+) and my fiance asked if his father could do the dance with me. I like the idea, but i have no idea what songs may be appropriate... Please help?

That is a really sweet idea! But also know that it’s totally fine to do a mother-son dance without doing a father-daughter dance. Do whatever works best for you

I think that's completely appropriate and is fine. It's your wedding day, dance with who you want. My father passed so I will be walking down the aisle with and dancing with my grandfather at my FH's and I's wedding next month.

As far as songs go, I like Lean on Me.
