Daughter's Bridal Shower

Deb, on February 27, 2020 at 9:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

My daughter, who lives on the west coast and is getting married there, will be flying to the east coast, where I live, to attend a bridal shower I am hosting for her. Is it proper for me to request that gifts be mailed directly to her home rather than brought to the shower, where they would then have to be packed up and shipped to the west coast? The shower will be at a restaurant and will be a brunch; someone suggested that I could ask those who are attending to put a photo of the gift they purchased in an envelope and have her open that. She will be registered on Amazon and those on the invite list are all close friends and family members.

Of course. My friend now lives in Colorado and did when she was having her wedding in Florida as well as her bridal shower. It was suggested to mail to her house although messed up if anyone does bring a gift when the bride is traveling lol. Some people may not think about that too. I would say gift cards are good and in my opinion no need to put a pic in a card.

I think that is completely fine. Or, even sending the gift to her house, but sending a card to the shower with a photo of the gift in the card is another idea!
