Davids Bridal exchange

Kaylynn, on February 25, 2017 at 4:36 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

I was wondering if they will let you exchange your dress and what do they do if you find a cheaper one? Do they refund you the money or?

Call and ask them. I have a feeling your taste in dresses will probably change by 2019 though.

I was told you could exchange it for something more expensive. They won't refund any money and you can't add other pieces (like a veil, shoes, etc.) To make up the difference.

I just exchanged my original dress last night. If the manager is nice enough they'll do it but it has to be the same amount or more as the original dress. No refunds.

Davids bridal let me exchange no problem. However no refunds, so you have to spend the same amount or more. I bought a dress then changed my mind and they let me exchange for another dress. And then recently let me exchange my dress again this time for just a different size.

@Emma G- I'm surprised they told you that. They acted like it was no big deal at all when I did it. Although they said you can only exchange as long as they were still selling your dress, so if it had been discontinued you couldn't.

I exchange my dress three times. You can exchange your dress for a dress with the same value or more. My dress new dress cost less than the previous ones and I just bought my reception dress to make it equal to the previous price.

They let me do an exact exchange but said it had to all be done in one transaction. I used it on my flower girls dresses and junior bridesmaid dress.

I started grabbing other random stuff to run up the rest of the bill (robes, brides shirt, hanger for my dress) then I told my consultant at the register I felt very rushed and wanted to really come back on a day I could shop without the kids waiting on me.

Rather than random stuff I wanted to look for shoes or some other dresses for rehearsal dinner or other events. She got the manager to agree to give me a store credit card and I can go back another time.

I could do a size exchange, but they said they didn't do exchanges for any other reason. No returns or refunds.

Honestly, it seems as though DB's return policy is a store by store kind of thing. Some won't let you do anything and some will.

I just purchased a dress for 883 (on sale) Friday and had a mini meltdown by Monday because it wasn't my dress. I went in and they let me exchange it, but i had to at least spend the amount i had originally spent (I'm guessing this has to do with the commission they make). So my new dress was 749 on sale and i just bought robes to make up the difference in price. They were very nice and understanding. I had a great experience! Now the first DB i went to i had an awful experience and left in tears...so make sure you find a good associate that you are comfortable with!

So I purchased two dresses, one as a reception dress, a flower girl dress, headpieces and shoes. This morning I was looking for bridesmaids dresses and found that my reception dress (that I bought last night!) is on sale for $200 less, so is my veil $30 less online. I was told in store that it was an in-store only dress...lie. I'm extremely disappointed and feel as though I was cheated. I know that I can't return what was ordered last night so I don't want to order it online and have two of the same dresses. But I think they should credit me the difference. I know $230 in a total of $1500 isn't that big of a deal but really it is. That's a night lodging or a bridesmaids dress, etc. I'm just very disappointed. What should I do? Get the one online, and exchange the dress for stuff in the store? I don't really want to do that but I am planning on buying my maid of honors dress and possibly one of my bridesmaids' dresses. Thoughts?

Db refunded me because I never took the dress out of the store once they ordered it for me in my size. It was on sale 75% off original price. Unfortunately I didn’t end up liking any of them once they came in. They gave me a hard time with the refund even though we had discussed it prior to my purchasing. As a result I did not like dealing with them.
