I was hoping someone may work there or have some insight for me. when i was in the store i told them that i had added a dress to my cart (to find out shipping & tax costs) and a day later they emailed me a 10% coupon. the consultant said to be careful ordering off the davidsbridal.com website...

My friend ordered her original BM dress on their website. When it came it was nothing like the picture looked. She was super disappointed

Could The bridesmaids get fitted at the store and then just place the order online?

My experience was a little different from the previous comments. I brought bridesmaids dresses for my daughters. They tried them on in the store to determine the size. I ended up buying them online because I did not have time to go back to the store. Neither could fit their dresses. I don't know if they both gained weight, but I had to go one size up. The return was super easy though and they were very helpful.

I recently asked the same question while dress shopping. The reason there is a timeframe difference is because if you order in store you get a brand new, nobody's worn, newly made if you have a unique size dress, and if you order online then they find the shop nearest you that has the same size, color, etc... for your dress and they ship that one. That's how they can get the online orders filled so fast and in store orders takes so long. Hope this helps.
