David’s bridal- online or in store?

Apeal127, on February 14, 2020 at 12:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
I was wondering if it was better to order your dress online or in store? I’ve already tried on the dress and decided, and was checking it out online when they sent me a 15% off coupon (taking nearly $100 off the price). We’re there any perks to buying in store? And does the dress (if ordered online) come with a garment bag like it does in store? Also, what have y’all paid on average for alterations? Mine will just need to have the skirt shortened and the straps shortened.

I ordered mine online and it didn’t come with a bag so if the coupon is good in store I would do that. Many of them are only good online though so check.

You save on the shipping fee, if you order in store and they will honor whatever price is listed online. Is the coupon for online orders only? I would call the store to see if they would take it. When I purchased my dress in store I got a few coupons and booklets for vendors that worked with them and a DB bag. The garment bag is a separate fee, whether you purchase online or in store. My alterations were about $350. I had a modesty piece added, taken in a few inches, I had to get the dressed hemmed (and they charge extra for any additional layer after the third one...my dress has 7 layers Smiley sad .

I think it’s only good online. I have a garment bag, so I don’t absolutely need one, but it would be nice to get one specifically for it lol

I totally forgot about the shipping fee, that’s a good point. I think the coupon is for online orders only but I’m sure it couldn’t hurt to ask if they’d take it. Dang, I didn’t even check to see how many layers mine had...but that sounds gorgeous!!

I bought my dress in store and they were going to charge me additionally for a garment bag.

That’s good to know! The lady said it was included but she could’ve just said that so she’d get her commission. From what I’ve been hearing they charge either way.
