I actually got my dress from them. I wasn't planning on it, I was actually going to pick out a dress from Amazon with prime shipping, that way if it doesn't fit, or I don't like it I could always return and buy a new one. However that didn't happen. I got to the store and found my dress, a dress I would never have chosen from pictures, but it was just perfect and beautiful on me, so I bought it, ith my mom's help since I was planning on spending only 300 lol.

I'm plus, check for local places that have plus size, I know close to me in Buffalo, NY there were private shops with better selection.

I ended up ordering a spring collection dress I wanted to see, with no plus to try in store @ David's. I will say it seems like they have more plus avail to try now vs. October.

There was a lot of rack dresses. Also, off the racks vary by store, check a few!

I definitely found a dress I loved at David's bridal but it was 2000 and the dress I bought at a boutique was 1500. My mother loved the other dress though she litterally just told me shes going to have a picture of me in the other dress printed out. That being said I'd do some research. Dont just go to 1 place especially if people are going with you. Call ahead and see that they have alot of sample plus size gowns. Also keep in mind all stores are not created equal I went to a DB in houston that literally had every dress in every sample size 18, 20, 22 ect. But I went to a db in san antonio where I got alot of "the biggest size I have this in to try on is a 12"

Hi Ashely I’m getting marry May of 2020 been to davids bridal twice and let me tell you I couldn’t find anything! I see a few dresses but not in my size so I was unable to try it on I’m in Florida as well to me they don’t have a lot of dresses if your a Plus size.... I’m looking into bridal boutique stores

I don't know why, but the dresses on their site look horrible on every model. We had an appointment at a boutique and stopped at David's on the way home. I really was shocked at how much better they looked in person. There were quite a few that I liked and almost bought one but my mom hated it and wanted me to think about it. That night I went online to preowned wedding dress.com and actually found the dress I fell in love with 3 years ago (Sophia Tolli Kim) and it was in the right size and color! It just got here today and I was absolutely floored in the difference in quality over a DB dress!

Every dress I tried on and loved at the boutique store was a Maggie Sottero but they were too big to be altered and not enough time to order for our March elopement.

My point is, you may be surprised in the way the dresses look in person at DB, but it's worth looking at designer dresses too.

I had a great experience with them!! Got my dress for 70% off and they were lovely throughout the whole experience!!! Not everyone has the same experience though!!

Update on this, try to go at a slower time. Maybe a night during the week! I went yesterday with one of my BM so she could get fitted for her style and size and it was PACKED. I honestly dont know how anyone had a good bridal experience during that kinda rush. The girl helping us said that on Thursday night they were dead to the point of them styling dresses and practicing customer service on each other. I went on a Friday morning when I had off work and it was great, I was the only one there and my stylist was exceptional.

I’m a plus size bride & I was having the same problem I had save my low price (uglier) selections but when I walked in they had more selections & all of the ones I wanted to try were close enough & I ordered my dress from there

I would say definitely try David’s Bridal. I’m a plus size bride. I had went to several different bridal shops (at least 5) that carried plus size gowns. I never found anything I liked and was becoming discouraged. My mom suggested I make an appointment at David’s Bridal. I didn’t want to go, because I didn’t like anything online and knew I wouldn’t find the one. I went to the appointment the next day and found my dress! I’m absolutely in love with it. The entire process was so organized and my consultant’s help was amazing. They have such a large selection to choose from. My dress was also on sale for $838 (which makes it even better). Anddd my consultant told me when I ordered my dress that it would take 4-5 months to come in, but it came in 6 DAYS. I highly recommend DB!

I would say look around for specifically plus sized boutiques! I’m in the Chicagoland area and found a few! And my paid under $2000 for my dress, and it’s BEAUTIFUL! From Italy with amazing lace. I’m typically a size 18 and I’m 5’10. I wound up having to get like a 26 in the dress because 1)wedding dresses run smaller and 2) Italian sizes are even smaller. So don’t let that shock you!!
