Day after brunch??

Shelby, on February 4, 2020 at 11:49 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 4

We have a bunch of family coming from out of state, but we aren't sure how long they'll want to stay (10-12 hour drive). We know that we won't have a ton of gifts to open, so we are trying to figure out what we can do to spend some extra time with our out of town guests. Suggestions???

If you're concerned that they won't want to stay long after the wedding, what about a welcome party the day before?

I agree with PP. What we are doing is after the rehearsal dinner, we are inviting all out of town guests to the bar that we are having the dinner at for drinks. Dinner is at 5:00 for bridal party and immediate family, i.e. parents and brothers/sisters. Inviting people for drinks around 6:30-?. We plan on just using word of mouth because most of those who will be attending the drink portion are my FH's family who are flying in from out of state.

A lot of our out-of-towners are coming in a week before the wedding, so we have a bunch of activities planned for that week. (Tour of DC, crab feast on the bay, swimming at our fave river). We'll do a low-key day-after brunch for anyone who sticks around.
