Day of Bridesmaid's Gifts

Jasmine, on January 28, 2021 at 1:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hello! Looking for ideas/advice on what to give my bridesmaid's the day of my wedding. In their bridesmaid's proposal boxes I gave them a robe, stemless wine glass, a necklace with matching bracelet, mini lotion, & hair ties that say bride tribe on them. I wasn't sure if I should even get them anything additional because each bridesmaid's proposal box was about $40-$50 each so I'm thinking something small will do? What do you guys think?? Thanks in advance Smiley smile

I would recommend giving them each a gift that isn't related to your wedding, since you gave them wedding-related gifts in their proposal boxes! You could give them gift cards to their favorite stores or restaurants, treat them to a spa day for sometime after the wedding, a bottle of their favorite wine, or something that they would like individually. A phrase that's often suggested is to "shop for them like it's their birthday or Christmas". Their gifts don't have to be all the same for each one. In any case, for a thank you gift, I wouldn't give them anything that says "bridesmaid" or your wedding date on it.

I’m not giving my ladies anything more- I spent around $95 on each one. If you want to put in a gift card with a thank you card...

The gifts you give on the day of should be a bit more personal than the proposal box and a thank you for their help with your wedding. Anything wedding related, like pajamas or jewelry to wear the day of or anything for your photos really shouldn't be counted as a gift.
I have two bridesmaid who love to cook so I'm getting one an engraved cutting board and the other a truffle oil, butter and honey gift set. Another friend loves purses so I'm getting her a Kate Spade crossbody. And I'm getting my sister a name necklace with her name written in my handwriting from Etsy. Hope this helps!

I really like Lisa's suggestion about personalizing them and keeping them unrelated to your wedding! I also am a big supporter of not gifting things with wedding titles or dates on them.

For day-of gifts, I got each of them a nice satin pj set from Target! The top is long sleeved and buttons up, it comes with shorts and a face mask. I'm also gifting them a clear coffee mug with their name/monogram. For the one that doesn't drink coffee, I'm gifting her a nice portable drink mug, and personalizing it.

I would get them something that isn't specifically for your wedding. Shop for them like it's their birthday.

I would give them something non wedding related that fits their personal interests that they can enjoy and appreciate long after the wedding is over. Also nothing with names or titles

I agree with all the above comments, you could give them a little non-wedding related gift.
It also doesn’t have to be something super expensive, just something personal with meaning. For example, I think that a framed picture of you and your friend with a nice thank you letter reminiscing about all your good times together makes for a very nice gift.
