Day of Event Planner

My reception venue highly recommended a Wedding Day management planner; someone to take the reins on the day of the wedding and make sure everything runs smoothly so you can enjoy your big day. In Arizona these planners run from $1,500-$2,000. Are their services worth the money?? I will not spend more than 25k on the whole wedding and I feel like that money could go elsewhere but at the same time, I don't necessarily want to be stressing out on my big day over all the littler details.

    We have one that was $1000, and I think every penny of that will be worth it for the day to run smoothly and ours also is helping us for the whole month leading up to the wedding

    I had one and he was worth it! You can try to find one that has a lower minimum of hours needed and just have them there for the beginning portion.

    Do you have a close friend who you trust to step into this role? I plan events for a living but don’t want to be in that mode on my wedding day, so I have asked a friend I’ve done events with to be my day of planner. We are having a DW so I will cover some of her travel expense as a thank you.

    I haven't gotten married yet but I'm sure it will be worth it!!!! I have one. She's amazing and the day of my wedding I can relax and she will take care of everything. There is a lot of pieces to the puzzle during a wedding and you don't want to be stressed with vendor issues or questions on your big day. Plus when the night is over I can just simply leave. She will take care of everything clean up wise with the other vendors.

    Shop that price around..I think you will want one bc you don't want to be calling around and coordinating the day of...my girl is $150! She went to school for wedding planning.

    My venue came with day of coordinator. One of my friends tried to do everything herself and was getting ready and yelling out the window of where to put things; that to me sounds horrible and worth the 2k.
