Day of gifts for bridal party

on February 4, 2021 at 2:53 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 18

What are y'all giving your bridal party for their day of gifts?

I'm getting married this September and have 11 bridesmaids. We will be getting our hair and makeup done together that morning at the venue, so I had some sort of pajama/robe in mind. What other little things are you doing for your girls?

11, plus myself, is a lot to buy for, so I wanted to be as cost conscious as possible! I really want them to feel loved and glamorous the day of!

I have a satin pj set for my ladies and I. I got them from Target during the holiday season when they were on sale, and they are a great quality too!

I'm also gifting them a wine glass from W&P . That would get a little pricey for 11 people, but I think a stemless wine glass could always be used! Plus, you can find those practically anywhere. I know Crate & Barrel has some that are $3, they also have champagne flutes that price!

I just plan on putting little things in the wine glass like an airplane bottle of wine, pieces of chocolate, maybe a personalized keychain...

Everything underlined has links to the product I mentioned!

We shopped for our bridal party like we would for their birthday or Christmas. My best friend is a tattoo artist, so we got her a leather bound sketchbook. My bridesman loves whiskey so he got personalized whiskey glasses. Items like pajamas or robes are nice, but they’re more props for your photos than a thank you gift for the time and money your friends are spending on your wedding. I’m also not a fan of the same generic person for a group of people with different interests and hobbies.

    I also agree with this!

If members in your bridal party don't have similar tastes & personalities, then getting a gift catered to that individual is great!

I'm planning on getting my girls matching pj sets to get ready in morning of, and I'm making hanger's for their dresses (I got a circuit for Christmas that I'm planning on using to make a lot of gifts/décor)

I'm also going to offer to pay to have their hair and make up done morning of, if they wish to take me up on it it's on me, if they decide they want to do it themselves they can (I have 2 hair dressers in my bridal party who prefer to do things themselves)

I haven't quite narrowed everything else down, but I have until next September to narrow it all down! I'm thinking of wine glasses or coffee tumblers possibly as they all got water bottles in their proposal boxes.

Robes are nice for getting ready in and having coordinating wedding photos taken in, but they aren't really something a bridesmaid really wants or is going to use again. I would get each girl something they would actually want and would likely use again. For example, I love getting baths so one year for Valentine's Day my husband bought me a bath bomb set and it was amazing. Another ideas is if someone likes lotion or candles you could do a lotion or candle set. One of my girls loves coffee so I gave her a cute thing with a coffee mug, K cups and a gift card to Starbucks. Unfortunately, there is a cost that comes with asking 11 girls to be in your wedding.

Oh I love that! I wasn't really leaning to get them just random gifts, more of things for the day of - earrings, pjs, slippers etc. - just things that they'll use again but will be cute and practical for the wedding day! We've budgeted for it and are totally prepared to spend a fair amount on everyone, just looking for any good deals!

I love that idea! Most of my girls are pretty similar in style - but maybe I could add some details to each one of their gifts that kind of personalize it to them! TY!

Hair and makeup is such a good idea! I never thought of that being something I could gift to them!

I would just make sure if you get them things like earrings, pjs, and slippers that they are ones they'd actually use again. I know I can't wear jewelry that isn't made of gold as I'm allergic to most metals so if a bride got me earrings or any other jewelry made of anything other than gold I probably couldn't wear them for the wedding yet alone another day.

I agree with this. Most of the monogrammed labelled clothes and jewelry are photo props for you, not gifts. Hair and makeup falls into that category too. They never get worn again and go into the trash or Goodwill bin the next day.

Gift something that they will appreciate long after the wedding is over.

I got each of my girls a satin pajama set with their initials monogrammed on the front pocket, and a piece of Kendra Scott jewelry. My reasoning for getting the jewelry in addition was because I felt that the pajamas were basically photo props for getting ready.

I did buy everyone a robe to wear to get ready but they are definitely reusable. They dont have names or anything on them. I bought my girls Jewelry and did a custom travel jewelry box. Etsy has been my friend they usually have great deals too! These are the ones i used below! Day of gifts for bridal party 1

Day of gifts for bridal party 2

Day of gifts for bridal party 3

I disagree with this, as a bridesmaid I've always been way more psyched to have hair/makeup paid for! It’s fun to get glammed-up without the guilt of wasting money, plus it shows consideration for my financial status and that my tiny apartment can’t hold many more candles! Especially for a destination wedding, bringing physical items back is always tricky (many of the suggestions are a liquid, breakable, or bulky).
Personally, I’m paying for both hair/makeup (their choice on style) and making personalized tumblers featuring their home state/interests to use in our shared house over the weekend.

I’m doing champagne flutes with their names, matching robes, a small tote bag (the same I’m giving all wedding guests) but also adding a small photo book (using the site called chat books) of photos of us and a personalized note about how much they mean to me.

Trying to figure out bridal party gifts has been like slow torture for me... As soon as I finished the first sentence of your comment, though, all I could think was "FREAKING GENIUS!"
My bridal party is only 3 people, but they couldn't be more different if they tried. Luckily they all know and love each other dearly!
(my childhood best friend, my little bro, and my baby sister is MOH- she is 13 years younger than me and 10 years younger than little bro)
