Just Said Yes July 2020

Day of makeup

Kathryn, on May 17, 2020 at 7:02 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5
So because of covid, our big wedding on July 11th is postponed, but we’re still getting married that day. I’ll now be doing my own makeup. For those of you who have used a makeup artist, what products do they use/recommend? I need to buy basically a full face of makeup and don’t know where to begin. Also, eyeshadow palette suggestions are welcome. Thanks! Smiley smile

I just did this for my elopement this week and believe it or not, I used all walmart products and maybe spent 80 dollars in total. Full face coverage. I'd like to say it came out well, especially since 2 men, my husband and his cousin color matched me hahaha. I had to practice a few times using YouTube and buy a different shade contour kit, but I've had many compliments with ending result and didn't have to break the bank lol. Not going to lie, if I had the money I would of spent it on higher end products but that's beside the point 😅 the only Ulta product I used was my lip color. My makeup artist used it at my trial and I loved it, so I bought it.
Here is my breakdown: Elf Hydrating Face Primer, Loreal Lumi Glotion, Loreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation, Loreal Infallible Pro Glow Concealer, Maybelline Master Contour Contouring/Highlight Kit, Elf Brow Pencil, Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Blush Edition Eye Contouring Palatte, Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner for top eyelid/wings, Loreal Infallible 16hr Carbon Black on the bottom eye lids (I looooove eyeliner 😂), Kiss false lashes, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Frick N Frack, Maybelline Lip Liner, and lastly! Elf Makeup Mist & Set. By all means I am not knowledgeable when it comes to makeup and whether or not I did things right or wrong, my husband was more than pleased and now doesn't want me spending the money later for professionals to do it. I still will though 😂 my ending result:Day of makeup 1Day of makeup 2

I think I saw your post with pictures a few days ago and I 100% assumed the makeup was professionally done!! This looks great. I'm awful with makeup, so I have no suggestions, but this looks like it worked well!

Thank you!! I bought all that makeup 1 week before the wedding. I've never worn more than just eyeliner, so it was a whole new experience. I was able to practice 3 times before the day. It wasn't always pretty 😂, but I just kept trying to learn and experiment. I would encourage anyone to try!
