Day-of Purse / Bag?

Cristina, on September 7, 2020 at 1:30 PM Posted in Planning 1 10
Hi Ladies! How are you planning on bringing essentials with you on the day of the wedding? (Whether it be your phone, makeup, stain stick, safety pins, tampons, etc. haha) I’ve seen some people have a small clutch, or others have a bridal suite at their venue where they can leave their stuff in a larger bag.

I’m just not sure how it would work logistically. Would a bridesmaid hold your stuff while you’re walking down the aisle or taking photos?
Maybe I’m over thinking it, but any advice from other brides would be helpful! Smiley smile

You could put everything in a tote bag to give to your MOH and ask her to either put it under your seat in the reception hall prior to the ceremony, or put it under one of the reserved seats at the ceremony and move it to the reception hall after.

I left all of my things in the bridal suite during the ceremony and reception. I did have a small clutch with lipstick at the reception table with me.

You put everything in a tote bag that is kept in a safe place at the ceremony/reception site. With a good makeup artist using high quality products, you shouldn't need a touchup. The only thing you might need is ID for the bartender.

A well prepared coordinator will have stain sticks, safety pins, etc. But you could always have baskets with those items in the bathrooms.

I had an “emergency bag” scissors, thread, bandaids, etc in the bridal suite it traveled with me to the ceremony and then my bridesmaid brought It back to the reception where it stayed in that bridal suite. We used it while getting ready but we didn’t need it after.
I had a purse with my lipstick, phone, and the little speech I gave. I forgot it in the car. I didn’t need it at all during the reception. I also had a basket in the bathroom of feminine products incase i needed that. If your busying having fun you won’t miss or need anything.
I would have the emergency bag stashed in the back some where though because emergencies happen.

Never thought of carrying a bag during my wedding. Our venue has a beautiful bridal suite with a safe. So all my belongings will be in the suite and valuables in the safe. If anything I’ll have my MOH or one of my brothers hold my chapstick 🤷🏽‍♀️

Our venue is quite small, so I am leaving my belongings in the "bridal suite" (its really just a sitting room) because if I end up needing anything I can just go get it or have my bridesmaids grab it.

I left all of my stuff in my bridal suite. You don't really need any of that stuff during your wedding. I had my mom hold my lipstick in her clutch. But that was the only thing I needed (more so wanted).
