Day of purse or clutch

Amy Louise, on February 15, 2020 at 8:10 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

So I always hoped my dress would have pockets and I wouldn’t be worrying about such things.. But alas, no pockets!

We do have a bridal suite at the venue, but it is upstairs and way down the hall from where our reception is being held. Does anyone plan on having a clutch or purse they carry, or would you had it off to say you MOH during the wedding?

I know I’ll want medications I need, lipstick, some tissues, etc and I want a nice place to stash them, like the above mentioned bag.

If you have any pics too, I’d love to see them. Thanks all!!

Honestly, you will be way too busy and be tugged in too many directions to keep up with a clutch. My mom kept my lipstick in her clutch.

I agree with the pp, during my wedding I left everything in the bridal suite and never thought twice, really didn’t need to carry anything...consider a long wear lipstick so you won’t even have to worry about that.

Bridle bag and that way if I really need something I can just run to go and grab that. I'm a diabetic and already have to deal with trying to hide my pump I don't want to try to have to hide anything else hahaha.

I’ll have a bag that my mom bought for me. It will be in a different room for the ceremony and then my wedding planner will get it for me and I will just keep it at my table. Day of purse or clutch 1

Daughter had an ivory satin clutch (I think I found it at Macy's or Kohl's around Christmas time). She put a few things in it, and the bridal attendant at her venue made sure it was at her place at the Sweetheart table. Fairly early on, she handed it off to me and it was at my table for the entire evening. She never stopped for a second to want anything from it. If you have necessary medications, that's different, so you'll want to keep them close (could they go in FH's coat pocket?). I have a bunch of white handkerchiefs that used to belong to daughter's grandpa. I gave FOB and SIL each one the night before the wedding, "in case they ran into any weepy women the day of the wedding." Her first look with dad, then with H were the only times daughter cried all day, so they had her covered for that. There are cute pro photos of each of them whipping out their white linen handkerchiefs to offer her.... Good luck! Smiley heart

I had intentions of carrying a vintage clutch from my Nana. But I forgot about it completely and didn’t miss it at all.

I don’t have a picture but I got a clutch at David’s bridal. Had some extra makeup, my phone, my room key, and a shawl. Kept it in the hotel room during the ceremony. My MOH’s dress had pockets so she held onto the key during the ceremony and then ran upstairs to get it afterwards. She held it during family photos, then I gave it to my father in law when we went outside for bridal party photos, he gave it to my mom who gave it to my aunt (lol) but I ended up back with it at the reception 😂 I just kept it on our sweetheart table. The only thing in it I ended up using actually was my phone. I wanted to make sure I got some photos that were physically in my possession at the end of the wedding... I’m impatient and didn’t want to have to wait for the photographer or other people to send me some! Lol. So I just snapped a few pictures on my phone and passed it to my mom, father in law, and a couple friends a few times during the reception and ended up getting some amazing photos (that I had immediately!)Day of purse or clutch 3

Put either a bridesmaids or the day of coordinator in charge of carrying things for you. Important item like phone that must be near you, have bridesmaid or groom carry it.
