Day of Stationary

What is ‘needed’ exactly? Do I have to get menus, wedding agenda, table numbers and the table seating with names? When our guest RSVP they choose their entree. However, should we have menus that include everything else? Same thing with the agendas, is this something that people really need to keep track of? Doesn’t seem necessary. I was under the impression this was provided by the venue. I know they have table numbers, but should I add my own? I attached a picture of the glass table numbers they have. Are you having stationary items? Does your venue provide these?Day of Stationary 1

Table numbers are necessary for guests to find their seats, but if you like the ones the venue has, there's no issue in that. Since they pre-chose their entrees, it's probably best for you to have escort cards for each guest with their name and some way of noting what dish they ordered (a colorful dot, different color card, or a sticker of a cow, chicken, etc.). Menus aren't necessary, especially since they pre-chose their entree. I don't even know what a wedding agenda is (like a timeline for the guests?), so that can definitely be skipped lol.

Table numbers for sure! Menus a nice touch not necessary. We are doing acrylic name plates and I have a few framed pics of our journey intermittently placed on tables as well as a separate table honoring pics of married guest who have been married for 20 years or more.

Lol yes, I’m sorry, the timeline lol. I know I wouldn’t care to know ‘what’s next’ as a guest so those I won’t get. Am I to get my own escort cards and table numbers if I choose to have my own? Also, if I do, do this I was considering following our STDs. Ours was a newspaper theme. Which was super cute. But I want to make sure this could also have an elegant look if we decide to continue the theme with the table numbers and escort cards and the table seating names.Day of Stationary 2

Can I come to the wedding? Lol I’m jk. I love the acrylic name plates - I think those are super nice and elegant. I know your guest will be pleased by those. The pictures are also a really nice touch. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that at any weddings I’ve been to. For your table numbers, are you providing them on your own? Are they going to match your wedding theme?

Girl come on down to the wedding everybody else is. You will love the food. 💙💍💙. Yes the table numbers do match the theme which is elegance. I got them on Facebook marketplace for like 25.00.

If you like the table numbers they have at the venue, I really wouldn't bother getting your own. Based on the initial pic, they look like they'd go with pretty much anything. Escort cards also don't have to be anything extra. I just bought a pack of blank, printable Avery tent cards from Amazon for about $5-10 bucks and printed them at home with one of the free templates they had online. In the bulk of the weddings I've been to, the escort cards are relatively simple. The guest just cares if they can find their name easily (so please, arrange them in alphabetical order). I've been to weddings where they weren't arranged alphabetically and everyone was hovering over the table forever trying to find their card.

That makes sense. I honestly wouldn’t have thought to do it that way either. Thank you for that! I’ll also check Amazon because $5-10 is reasonably priced.

Your save the dates are adorable! I think you could totally do something similar with escort cards since black and white goes with anything. You can probably also skip menus and timelines since guests know what they signed up to have for dinner and most people know that you show up, the ceremony happens, then the reception starts, all the formalities happen at some point, etc.

We're probably going to have programs for our ceremony since it's in a church and not all of our guests are religious. That way they'll be able to follow along. We're leaving it up to the DJ/ coordinator to worry about the timeline for the rest of the evening. Reception timelines can also get off-track, so by not having a timeline guests won't know if we're running late lol.

Thank you!!! Lol fair enough! I’ve started to look at different escort cards - these seem to be fairly simple. Do guest pick these up at the guestbook signing? Or is it a different table for that.

I've seen either done. A separate table might let more people file in, but I think as long as there's enough space for one person to find their card and another to sign the guest book it's fine and will keep the line moving.
